OpenRouter gives?
Many models, one key.
Benefit?
Easy swapping.
0:00 I've been using them for the past seven to eight months while building out agents in Make N Zapier. I've been using these tools for a while. So, they're just tools that I like using personally as an agent builder, and I hope that you find them useful as well. AI agent tool number one is Open Router. This tool allows you to easily select different models and interchange them very quickly, and you don't have to go to these different platforms and sign up for them and do all of that.
0:47 All you do is sign up to Open Router, and you have access to all of the large language models. You can connect any of them to your AI agent. It makes split testing very easy and it's also just an enjoyable experience. So, this is Open Router's website, and the thing I like about it is it's very easy to set up. Like, if I go to my credits up here, you just load in some money. I loaded in $30 months ago, and I've been using it quite a bit, and I'm not even halfway through that.
1:10 But when you load in credits, what that allows you to do is get access to any large language model pretty much on the planet. So, if I go to this models tab in the upper right hand corner, uh what I get access to is this screen where it says models. So, as you can see, 428 different large language models that I get to choose from. They have the new Gemini 2.5 Pro in here, which if you're watching this a couple years from now, you're probably like, "Drake, that's old news." But AI is changing so fast.
1:32 So, the fact that they have these models in here so quickly is amazing. And it gives you a good cost breakdown, too, which is just excellent. And another thing I like about this is you get to kind of customize the models and find the exact one that fits your use case with your AI agent. So like you can go to prompt pricing and you can find the cheapest models possible. So it's just amazing with the filters over here on the left.
1:55 You can go for big context windows. So we're looking like the Geminis are going to be taking over. You can look for input modalities. So these are just filters so you can find the exact model for your use case. They have categories over here. So if you want like a really good uh science model, you can look for those really good science ones. And uh you might want to turn down context length to find the best ones for science.
2:19 but and turned up prompt pricing, right? But that's what makes it so cool is you get all these filters that you can adjust. You can even have supported parameters. So maybe structured outputs is important for you. You could turn that on and find out which is the best science uh model that supports structured outputs. And uh also you can sort by providers right here as well. So a bunch of different filtering options that you can use.
2:42 What does this look like in NAND? So I have a little workflow right here to demonstrate open router. But one of the things that I want you to notice about open router is how nice it connects. So if I wanted to add another agent in here, I could hit that plus button and add in an AI agent. And um one thing you know about an AI agent is the one required feature is a chat model. So what I can do is I can hit this plus button.
3:06 And in the bottom right hand corner behind my head, what you're going to notice is we have something called open router in here. And this is that exact application that I was just showing you. Uh, and the cool thing about open router, like I said, is I like how you can just add in credits when you want. You don't have any subscription. You don't have any like weird things going on. You can even use crypto. Like come on.
3:29 You could create like a trading bot if you wanted. Uh, but you can just select this open router chat model and you get to connect your account with an API key. That's very easy to do. You hit create new credential like this and then your API key comes up. You can get that API key by just going to keys in your profile. it like it makes it super simple to connect. But once you paste that in there, you get to select your account and then you get access to all of the models just like that.
3:51 So I mean look at this. Who who wouldn't want to do this, right? I've got access to every model in the world right here uh just with one application. So instead of going in here and connecting all my credentials to Anthropic, to OpenAI, to DeepSeek, to Gemini, all of these different apps, like just use Open Router, especially if you're in like a testing phase and you just want to see how different models react. Now, let me show you this thing in action.
4:13 I'm going to delete this. And this is an agent that I built right here called a routing agent. And what this routing agent does, no pun intended with the open router by the way, but what this routing agent will do is based on my query here, I have instructions in this first one, um, telling it to choose my model for me. So that's all this agent's job is, the decider agent is to choose which model is best.
4:38 And then I can use open router right here to dynamically map in a model so that the model will change based on the question I ask. So I have uh three models in here. Perplexity sonar, open AIO3 mini, and enthropic claude 3.5, which I could probably change that to 3.7. But I tell it each model strengths and uh when to use a certain model. So it will pass my question or my statement and the model I need to use to the actual agent that's completing that task.
5:00 If you're interested in that, I have a full video on it. I'll leave it in the upper right hand corner so that you can watch how I actually built this and how it works. But let me just show you open router in action. I'll just test out a quick message. I'll say like help me code snake. And since I told it that claude was best at coding, it'll probably choose the claude model. So I'll send that off.
5:22 No credentials found. So I'll actually show you what that looks like real quick. I'll create new credential. Go to my keys. And then I can just create an API key. Delete. And then I'll do like a $3 limit. I'll hit create. And then I can copy your you can copy your secret key right here. Paste it in, hit save, and then you're connected. So kind of glad I ran into that error. Now you know how to connect an account there.
5:46 But I'll change that. And then I will reuse that prompt. So help me code snake. Now that it has uh that it will be able to help me decide which model to use. That's all this agent's doing. And then uh the cool thing about open router is you can dynamically put your model in here. So it will dynamically select and I can have as many as I want, right? I could have it look over 10 different models if I'd like, but it should have used clawed.
6:09 We can go in here and we can check which model. Uh, yeah. See, so it passed that model into the actual open router over here. So my model changes based on my question. As you can see, it used that model name of anthropic in here under my open router chat model and it actually gave me a response using claude. So beautiful. The next AI agent tool that I've been using for a couple of months is firecrawl.
6:34 This allows you to scrape any website on the internet and turn it into nicely structured data. I'm going to walk you around their website, show you what they're about, and then I will get into
