Mind Robotics, an industrial robotics company created by Rivian, has appointed Doug Field as president. Field, the former chief of Ford’s electric vehicle division, will oversee product, engineering, and operations for the firm.

The appointment connects leadership experience directly to the factory floor. Rivian’s manufacturing facility will serve as the initial training and deployment environment for the company’s robotics systems, using real production data to guide development.
