0:00 Make sure to follow along with me step-by-step. [music] I'm going to cover everything from starting your website all the way up into fulfillment. And by the end of this video, you will have your store up and running ready to sell today. All right, so the very first thing that we're going to be doing is building out our Shopify store. This software uses AI to build out a full Shopify store on a premium theme that normally costs $200, but it's completely free.
0:22 It's also going to load 10 winning products onto the store for us, link our supplier, basically handle everything. And the premium theme that it comes with is actually the exact same theme that I'm using on this store right here. It's got a great conversion rate of 3.24%. It's fully customizable. It's fully yours. You can change anything that you want. So, let's get started on it. First, we're going to go to this store builder website. I'm going to drop it down below in the description.
0:45 That way you guys can follow along step-by-step. The first thing we have to do is pick our niche. So, we've got clothing, pets, tech, home, sports, or need inspiration. It doesn't really matter which niche that you pick because you can change the store completely. You can add new products, change the niche, do whatever you want with it. The biggest thing that we're getting out of this is a great foundation and a great theme. I'm going to go ahead and pick clothing and then you're going to type in your name here.
1:07 So, Austin. And then go ahead and sign up with your email. And the email that you use is going to be the same one that you're using to start your Shopify account as well. So, just remember that when we get onto that step. Now, we're going to click on claim our store. Now, we get to pick our core colors for the theme. There's orange, green, red, and blue. I'm going to go with blue here. Then I'm going to go ahead and hit next.
1:29 All right, so now we got to pick our banner. So, the banner is like the image that they upload onto the website for you. I'm going to go with this one. Again, you can change all this and we'll actually work on this later. I'll show you how to use AI to just redo all of your images on your website. All right, so now we have to create our Shopify account like I was saying. So, we got to use that same email that we signed up with the store builder.
1:52 That way it can link onto your Shopify store and upload the custom theme. So, we'll click on create my Shopify account and it's going to open up a new tab for Shopify. You can start it off for free, you get 3 days uh free trial and then after that, it's only a dollar per month for the first 3 months. So, the only thing that you have to pay for is your Shopify plan, but it only costs $3 for 3 months of Shopify, so it's it's a fantastic deal.
2:15 So, enter your email and hit next on the little arrow here. Then we're going to create our password and click create our Shopify account. So, start for free, stay for $1, so to say it's free, 3-day trial, you can cancel anytime you want and then instead of $39 a month, it is $1 for the next 3 months. I'm going to go ahead and plug in my card information here and subscribe for the dollar. And keep in mind that this is actually super important to do to at least start your trial because if you don't, you actually can't get your theme transferred, you can't even open up your store, you can't start selling, so you got to pretty much do this.
2:37 All right, so we're subscribed, now we're going to select our plan. There's basic, grow, and advanced. I just recommend going with the basic, you don't have to get fancy with it. We're not going to need any of this until you're really scaling up your store. So, I'll just click on try basic. Now I have to share our business address and if you don't have a business address, like I have a personal virtual mailing address that I use, it's like a PO box, but if you don't have this, it's totally fine, you can just use your home address.
3:01 All right, so I'm saving my address here and then it's going to take us back to completing the store. It's going to ask if you want to do this little survey for Shopify. I'm just going to go ahead and hit skip, you don't have to do this. All right, so now our Shopify store is created. So, what we're going to do now after we've created that store, we're going to go back onto the store builder tab.
3:01 Now we need to link that Shopify store or the account that we just created to the store builder so we can transfer everything. So, we can click on access Shopify URL, it's going to take us back to the admin of the store that we just created and all we have to do is go up at the top and grab the URL and copy it. Now go back onto the store builder software and then we're going to paste our URL there and then we're going to hit save.
3:24 Once it saves, you just click on next. Now we need to add the winning products onto our store, the theme, and also linking the supplier automatically with those products. And I get a lot of questions about this, uh the Zendrop app charges up to $79. Uh that is if you have more than 101 products. So, 0 to 10 products are free. So, you're not going to get charged that amount. They just legally have to say that on the Shopify app store.
3:46 So, we'll click on add winning products and it's going to now bring us back to our Shopify store again and it's going to go to the Shopify app store where we're going to install Zendrop onto our store. Then it's going to link you back again into your account. It's going to say install the Zendrop app. You're going to click yep. And then we're going to approve the subscription. Again, that's what I just talked about. It's up to the maximum of $79.
4:09 Uh 0 to 10 products is free. So, don't worry about that unless you're adding 100 products. But now I've installed it. So, we're going to click on continue onboarding. Okay, so now we've done this step. It's going to link us back to the Store Build software and then we're going to click on receive store. All right, so we're on the final step. Now all we have to do is click on go live. And now it's going to take about 30 seconds to a minute here for all of the AI generated store to upload onto your Shopify account.
4:31 All right, so now our store has been uploaded. We're just going to click on next. Now last thing we have to do here is remove the password on the store. And no, removing the password is not to get access to your account or anything like that. It is to remove the password so people can visit your website when they search their URL. So, you can see here it's store access restrict access to visitors with the password.
4:53 So, you have to remove this obviously, otherwise people can't go on your website and purchase off of it. We're just going to click on the remove here and then we're going to hit save. Now we're going to go back onto that software and we removed the password. So, we're going to click on make my first sale. Then there's the offer from Zendrop to get 12 months of premium tools for $200 for the year. You can claim this offer if you want.
5:16 If you want, you can just decline. And now this is my own personal offer. So, Gage and I, the founder of Haven and co-owner, actually joined up to make a Discord group called Conversion Club. So, we do four live coaching calls every single week. Have a bunch of different chat channels answering questions daily. Basically helping you guys scale up and answering your questions live and also it's great for networking and being surrounded by like-minded people. So, it's a great group.
5:39 If you're interested in that and working with us, then you can join the Discord here. If you don't want to join that, no worries. You're just missing out on some great calls. But now our store is done. So when we go back onto our Shopify account, you're going to see here in the online store section, if we click into it, you're going to see that the Zendrop theme has now been uploaded. So everything transferred over properly.
5:39 All right, so now we have our theme uploaded. I want to give you a quick overview of all the tabs on the left side so you guys know where to find everything [music] that you possibly could need. All right, so the first tab is the home tab. This is where it's going to give you like an overview of everything going on inside of your website. So that's your sales, your conversion rate, some other notes as well.
6:02 Down below that is the orders. So once you start making some sales, then the orders are going to actually show up here. But a good thing for you because this already comes with a supplier, which I'll talk about later, and it'll automatically fulfill all your orders for you. But if you need to edit any or change someone's address or something like that, you can do that all here in the order section. Below that is the product section, so you can see our 10 products that were already added onto the store for us.
6:23 And within this section, you can change everything that you need to. So you can change all of the product images, the description, all the sizing and color and the price. That is all done within this product section here. And so every time you upload a new product from Zendrop or wherever, you can change all of that here. But right now it's already uploaded onto it for us, which is really nice. Below that is the customers tab where you can see your customers' emails and who's purchasing from you and use that later on for email marketing and things like that.
6:46 And then below that is actually marketing. So you can do some marketing directly in Shopify like shop campaigns. You can run Facebook ads from here as well, but I don't really recommend doing that. The tab below that is discounts, so you can create discount codes for affiliate marketing or returning customers or for your email sign up and pop-up. You can create any discounts here that you want that they put in at the checkout like 10% off, 15% off, stuff like that.
7:09 Content section is just like the files that you're uploading onto your site. So new images, banners. Below that is markets, so you can choose the markets that you want to sell in. Right now it's obviously United States, but you can choose and create new markets so you can sell worldwide if you want to. Then below that is the finance section. So this is where it's going to show your Shopify uh uh bills, all the things that have to do with the financial side of your business.
7:31 Also, make sure to activate your Shopify payments. That's how people can use their cards and Shop Pay at the checkout page of your website. And if you don't have Shopify payments available to you, then you can use a third-party like authorize.net that Shopify partners with. So, if you don't have this option, that is another option that you can do. Below that is your analytics. So, the analytics screen shows your sales for the day. You can do it for the year.
7:53 You can change it however you want, design it. It'll show you conversion rates, how many people were on your website, returns, everything is kind of housed there. Those are the main sections that you're going to kind of use on your Shopify site when you're running your business, but let's go into the online store and I'll show you guys how to edit it even further. So, if you click into online store section, and then you're going to click on edit theme, this is where you can change everything that you possibly can ever imagine about your store.
8:15 There's already a great foundation here and a great layout already setting up. But, for example, if you wanted to change this image banner, you just click on it. There's going to be the left side here, which is your layout. This is an image section, and then below this is the multi-column. But, whenever you click on something that you want to change like this, all you have to do is go on the right side where it says image banner.
8:38 You can select your first image, and then you can change it. I can change it to this one right here. And I'll switch. Obviously, that does not supposed to go there, but that's how you're going to change all of your sections. You can change the opacity, so make it darker, the banner height, so many different customizations available on this theme. Now, let's say you wanted to change the copy. So, top quality products, if you want to change that, you'll just click into it and do the exact same thing.
9:00 Top quality products, you can edit it here, type in whatever you want. Have it fully customizable to your product and your niche and the way that you want it to look. And let's say that you wanted to add a section. So, you want to have something in between best sellers here and the uh little icons. We'll just click on add section, and then there's a bunch of different options available for you to choose from. So, we could do a results if we're doing like a product that you need to have like results and it says if you're doing like a product that has results or how you're comparing it better to other brands.
9:23 And then these are also fully customizable. So, the heading you could change to winners. And on the right side, you could click on the result row. You have the percentage slider here. It's like 47% noticed. And you can change this and design your website however you want. This is how you're going to play around with it. Every single website looks I mean, somewhat similar, but depending on your product and niche, you should play around with the website a little bit to get it to the way that you want it to look.
9:47 And also, a great tip is to just look up competitor websites. Whatever product or niche that you end up selling in, just look at your best competitors and just try to like mimic the layout of their website. Now, at the top section here, we click on homepage, so that's the one we're editing right now. If you click into products and our default product, it's already going to be set up for us for this specific one, but you can change all of this stuff as well.
10:09 So, the exact same way that we were changing the homepage, you can change all of the product pages as well. Everything already looks super high quality. It's a great layout and a great theme. If you do want to look at it in mobile view, at the top right, we're on desktop right now, but we click on mobile. And this is what it would look like on the phone. You get multiple views to make sure everything looks nice and neat.
10:31 We don't have a logo and a name for our website yet, so you can see at the top here there's a header and it just says my store. To change all of this, we're going to go on the left side here into theme settings. And from here, you can click into the logo, add your logo in right here, and it'll pop up here. You can change the colors of your website, the font, the layout, what the buttons and the pills look like.
10:31 There's so much to this theme that is fully customizable. It's pretty awesome. You can make it look pretty much any way that you want. What I would say though is to not really overthink your website too much. Like, the simpler the better. If you know some of the bigger brands out there right now don't have these crazy websites with crazy pop-ups and timers and all that stuff. Simplicity is a little bit better, and I think it converts at a much higher rate.
10:54 For example, take a look at the website that we're scaling right now, Haven. So, very simple, just [music] nice clean images. We do have a photographer for ours. But if you notice here, there's not too much that's really different compared to the other website that you just built. We have the size and fit, a couple icons, and then the description here, which your product also has descriptions already. Below that, we've just got a nice catalog, our Instagram account, and then reviews.
11:17 Nice and simple, very clean, it converts very well. Now that you have your website up, let's talk about one of the most common questions and move on to the next step, which is finding your niche and finding your product. All right, so finding your product and finding your niche is probably one of the most overthought things in most common questions I consistently get. So many people get stuck and they're trying to find this trending product that no one's ever seen before and you really don't have to do that.
11:39 When you're picking your niche and then dialing it down into your product, there's three things that I really want you to think about. Actually, scratch
