Elena's Wednesday, two ways

9 lessons · 24 prompts

A day in the life of a Dietitian: what changes with these prompts.

Track progress as a member

Elena, a clinical dietitian at a community health clinic.

Elena starts her Wednesday with a stack of client notes. She has a new client with diabetes and kidney concerns. She opens ChatGPT and uses the Drafting Meal Plan Ideas prompt. She types: 'Client is 62, has type 2 diabetes and stage 3 kidney disease. Likes oatmeal, chicken, and broccoli. Needs lower potassium and phosphorus. Suggest 5 breakfast and 5 dinner ideas with swaps.' The AI gives her a starting list. She adjusts it with her clinical judgment.

Then she uses the Analyzing Food Intake prompt for another client who sent a three-day food diary. She pastes the diary into Claude and asks for nutrient estimates and patterns. The AI highlights that the client eats very little protein at breakfast and lots of sodium at dinner. Elena uses that to guide her assessment.

Later, she uses the Preparing for Client Consultations prompt to get ready for a tough session with a client who is frustrated about slow progress. She asks Gemini to list possible concerns and open-ended questions. The AI suggests asking about barriers and small wins. Elena feels more prepared.

She also uses the Monitoring Client Progress prompt to draft a short update for a client's physician. She gives the AI the key points: weight stable, blood sugar improving, client struggling with portion sizes. The AI writes a clear summary she can edit and send. By 2 p.m., Elena has finished her notes and client follow-ups. She uses the extra hour to take a walk and plan a new group class on heart-healthy eating. She leaves work on time.
