A day in the life of a Podcaster: what changes with these prompts.
Track progress as a memberRavi, host and producer of a small interview podcast about city life.
Ravi records on Fridays, so Thursday is the day everything else has to happen. He starts with a blank page and a list of half ideas for next season, a series about night markets. In ChatGPT he runs the Plan Episode Topics prompt and asks for ten angles, then narrows it to three he actually likes.
His guest this week is a food historian who studies street food. He uses the Research Episode Content prompt for a short brief and three questions that go past the usual ones. The brief takes ten minutes instead of an hour of tab hopping.
After the edit, he drops the transcript into Claude with the Write Show Notes & Descriptions prompt. Out come show notes, a title that sounds like him, and chapter markers he can paste into his host. Then he asks Gemini for three social posts and a newsletter blurb using the Promote Episodes On Social Media prompt, and rewrites the first line of each so they do not read like ads.
By four o'clock the episode is ready to publish. Ravi uses the hour he saved to walk to the school gate and pick up his daughter, and he still has time to sketch the trailer for the night market series.
