Demo and setting up an academy

This is a great new feature that we added for the 2.0 platform. which allows you to select any language ranging from abcaus all the way down to Zulu. So virtually any major world language. So for example, let's say we want to view this site in Albanian. With one click now the menu, the navigation, everything is in Albanian. So if it's easier for you to work in your native language, you can now do that.

On the left hand side, you'll see the navigation menu for all of the various features and things that you can do here in the dashboard. The first thing we're going to do is start by setting up a brand new academy. We're going to do that by clicking on domain and then click add domain. We are including web hosting of yourmies with your membership today.

1:10 You can choose your own custom subdomain. And as I'll show you in a few moments, you can also use your own domain as well. So, I've got an idea for this demo and I'm going to use a subdomain called Health Academy. The description will be the Health Academy. And then we need to choose a logo and a fave icon. If you don't know what a fave icon is, it's the little icon that shows up at the top of your browser tab.

1:34 We actually have a graphic creator included in the pro version that has a logo and fave icon creator. But for the first part of this demonstration, I'm not going to use any of the pro features, just the basic features. So, I'm going to refer to a couple of other free resources. There are lots of places where you can either get or create free logos online. This one is just logo.com. Right here on the homepage, it says enter your business name.

1:56 I'll say the health academy. You click one button, make a logo. You can either enter a slogan or skip that. Let's say I'm a business owner. The industry, let's say healthcare. Keywords, let's say healthy. Click next. And it will create some logos for us. And again, in our pro version, we actually have a built-in logo creator in our platform. So, you can get exactly what you want. But here's a nice alternative in a pinch. I'm going to keep it pretty simple here.

2:20 I'm going to grab this one right here with the flag. Just going to rightclick, save the image. We'll save it as a PNG. So right here where it says logo, I'm going to click browse, select that logo, and then move on to the fave icon. I could actually use the exact same file for the fave icon. Typically, you want the fave icon to be square. And this logo happens to be square. We could also grab a free icon from a site like icons8.com.

2:43 Suppose I search for healthc academy here on icons 8. You know, we could find something pretty simple like this. Download it. And they allow you to download the PNG version for free. Again, jump back to our platform. Browse for the fave icon. Grab that. And then you have three themes to choose from. Now, you're not stuck with which theme you choose. You can switch between them at any time. So, simply pick one and see if you like it.

3:08 Because this is a health academy, I kind of feel like the lighter colored background might work better than the darker colored background for me for what I have in mind. So, I'm going to go with that one and click save. And whoops, it says the subdomain field cannot exceed 12 characters in length. I should have known that since I'm one of the creators of this platform and I looks like I went just over. I might actually have that increased, but for now, we'll just go ahead and shorten it.
