00:00 Hey. All right. Welcome to week one. Um, this week it's going to be me and Josh. Josh is backstage. I'm gonna invite him up in just a few minutes. But first, I just want to introduce myself real quick. If you don't know me, I'm Alicia. I'm a creative strategy, creative strategy lead at Motion. Um, and I have like a long-winded story about Motion, about how I learned creative strategy for Motion, and I love to be here. I'm also pretty tight with the product team. So, if you have any suggestions, hit me
00:22 up. And yeah, like I said, I'll invite Josh up in a few minutes. And then every single week from now, we're going to have different coaches as well. So, you're definitely going to want to tune in to get see to see like different perspectives from different creative strategists. Um, but first, I wanted to hit you with a quick recap from Tuesday. So, this week was all about identifying new winning ad angles hiding in your customer data. And you met my friend Jose. First of all, I cannot believe
00:44 that Jose neglected to tell you that he has a sweet little dog named Gigi. So, I felt like it was my duty to show you a picture of Gigi and remind you that when you're speaking to Jose, not only are you speaking to a creative strategist on our team, you're also speaking to the dog dad of Gigi. So, this week, Jose taught you how to do this identify new winning ad angles hiding in your customer data with Runith. Now, I saw
01:07 the chat and I'm just going to put it out there. I saw a lot of confusion about Runith and I want to be here to clarify everything for you. So, if you were like, I'm a little confused. What's this Runith? How do I get run? How do I talk to it? Give me five minutes to give you the runth 101. And my bribe to you if you stick around for the next 5 minutes is that I will give you free skills. I know you guys love skills. You always love to take my skills. Every
01:30 time I show you guys how I do something, you're like, "Where can I get that? Where can I download it?" So, I'm going to bribe you with free skills. Let me yammer about Runith for 5 minutes. I promise you it'll be worth it. Okay, so the first thing is what is Runith? Run is the AI co-worker that lives inside of Motion. If you thought it was a chatbot, though, it's not just a chatbot anymore. So, let me explain what runth can actually do. Runith, like motion can link to your meta ads account and see
01:52 your ads and is also linked to meta ad library to see all of your competitors and your inspirational ads as well. Also, Runith watches every single ad in great detail. So, when you're asking like why should I use Runith over Claude? This is one of the main reasons is because Runith has seen every single ad. It doesn't just have a transcript. It doesn't just have the ad copy. It literally has a huge detailed summary in
02:14 the back end, which is why when you ask Runith to analyze an ad, it has such great insights. Run also has a brain where you can drop all of your skills, your swipe files, your context docs, and because it has a brain that never sleeps, it can do work while you sleep or like you're like me, while you take a meeting. People will be like, "How did you get that report to us so fast?" And I'm like over here not paying any
02:36 attention because Renith did it for me. Also, Runith can integrate with any tool inside of your tech stack, anything with an API, and a lot of them are one-click connects. So, run can read more data than just your meta ads account. It can also connect with notion, with triple whale, with Okendo, with instagram, with Shopify, with Higsfield, anything at all. And then the best part is that you can talk to Renith in Slack. So, this is the thing that's like the real
02:58 breakthrough for me because personally, I find that it's very helpful to answer my annoying co-workers on my behalf. I cannot tell you how many times I've told somebody after they've asked me a question just go talk to Runith because Runith has all of the context that you see here and can answer the question just as well as I can. So if you're like that sounds neat how do I get Runith. If you're a Motion customer you already have Runith. So, if you just open motion
03:20 and go to this little chat icon in the lefth hand side, you will be able to see your uh runth dashboard where you have all of your chats and you can start asking it questions and like I said, you can connect to slack, which is how I find it to be the most valuable for me. And if you don't have motion, you still kind of have access to run because it's inside of our slack community. So, if you go to the Ask Runith channel and just tag Renith, you can ask it any
03:42 question. But you can also create a private channel if you want to give information to Runith that maybe you don't want other people to see. Um, or if you just want to ask like a super secret question that uh you would rather other people not see. Um, so like anything you think is dumb is not dumb to run. So you can make that private channel just between you and Runith. Um, also if you already have motion, do you have to pay for Runith? I saw a lot of
04:04 questions about this. Runith is totally free until August 16th. So, you have 10 days to token max. And if you don't know what token maxing means, I am the queen of token maxing. It is spending lots and lots of money on AI tokens by asking unlimited questions of Runith. Get it to make apps for you. Connect it with your tools. Set up as many routines as you want. Just go absolutely ham with Runith
04:28 until August 16th. I encourage you. It's so much fun and it will get you really comfortable not only with Runith, but also with using AI. And then after August 16th, most of you will probably, if you already have motion, still have access to runth. You'll just have like a limitation on how much you can use it. You can't token max after August 16th because unfortunately money doesn't grow on trees. But if you just ask your CSM, they will be able to give you clarity.
04:50 And if you don't have motion and you want to know how to get to how to get runth, there is a book a demo button up here somewhere. Um, you can talk to these guys. These are a sales team guys. They're super cool. I pinky promise. Sales sounds scary, but they're super nice. So, just wanted to give you the TLDDR of Runith. And now, let's do some cool stuff with AI, shall we? Okay. So, now we're gonna uh do all the fun stuff. And I'm gonna go ahead and invite Josh
05:14 to come up on stage with me. Come on over, Josh. [laughter] He's coming. Someone's sending him. Alicia, what's going on?
05:37 >> Hi. How's it going? >> It's good. It's good to see you again. It's good to see everyone uh that may have seen me on a previous talk as well. >> Yeah, for sure. Well, for those of us that did not see you on that previous talk or did not have the privilege of chatting to you in person at CAN, uh not to brag, uh please tell us all about yourself. >> Absolutely. Uh, and if you did see me last time, my Wi-Fi is a lot better this
06:00 time. Um, my name is Josh Lavine. I lead creative strategy at ManyHat. If you haven't heard of ManyHat, we're the number one Instagram automation platform. Uh, so if you've seen comment this word and we'll send you a link. Um, that's us. We do a lot of automations to help you uh, grow your following and monetize on social. Um, and I lead performance creative. >> Amazing. That's so exciting. And I feel
06:22 like everybody has seen people say like say the word in the comments and they're like how are they doing this with money? So fun. >> We like to call us like the OGs at that, you know, like you might have seen um automations elsewhere, but we're the OGs. Um we also run on other platforms like Tik Tok and Messenger and WhatsApp. Um but Instagram is our uh our main platform. >> So fun. Okay. And then selfishly, I also want to ask you, how did you become a
06:44 creative strategist? >> That's a long story. Um I started my work in integrated marketing actually. So my background is in retail. Uh I started at a company called Zapos where I worked with different uh running in performance brands doing integrated marketing. Realized that I fell in love with like acquisition marketing and how to like increase product sell through.
07:07 That led me down the agency rabbit hole um where I was doing not just creative but also actually running campaigns um working with clients directly. And I found myself um drawn towards the creative part of it. Not by um not by like any reason other than I just love to do it. So like you can analyze the creative but then there's the actual generation working with designers, working with video editors. And then I
