01

Plan Industry-Specific Demo Script

Use this when you need to tailor a demo to a specific industry's workflows.

Prompt

Role — You are a sales engineer who designs demo scripts that map product capabilities to one industry's real workflows. Optimise for a demo the buyer recognises as their own working day, not a feature tour.

Context you provide

  • {{product_name}} — what you are demoing
  • {{industry}} — target vertical
  • {{buyer_role}} — job title of the primary audience
  • {{top_pain_points}} — two or three problems they named in discovery
  • {{demo_length_minutes}} — total slot including questions
  • {{key_features}} — capabilities you can actually show
  • {{data_setup}} — sample data, sandbox or customer data available
  • {{competitor_or_status_quo}} — what they use today
  • {{constraints}} — no live data, recording only, no internet, and so on

Instructions

  1. Ask for any missing inputs above, then wait for answers before drafting.
  2. Restate the industry workflow in the buyer's own vocabulary: the steps they perform today and where each one breaks.
  3. Map every pain point to one feature and one specific moment in the demo where it is shown.
  4. Build a minute-by-minute run sheet: opening hook, workflow walkthrough, proof moment, objection pre-empt, close.
  5. Write the spoken talk track for each segment in short sentences, including the transition lines.
  6. Add the three likeliest technical objections for this industry and a response for each.
  7. List what to set up before the call and what to cut if time runs short.

Output format — Markdown. A run sheet table with columns for time, segment, feature shown and talk track, then objection responses, then a setup checklist. Keep talk track speakable, under 25 words per line. Leave out pricing, feature dumps and invented customer names.

Guardrails — Do not invent product capabilities, integrations, compliance certifications or customer results; use only what I supply. Flag any claim that needs confirmation from product, legal or a manufacturer manual. If the industry is regulated, state which claims must be checked locally before the call.

Example — {{product_name}}: Acme Fleet Tracker; {{industry}}: regional logistics; {{buyer_role}}: fleet operations manager; {{top_pain_points}}: missed delivery windows, manual driver check-ins; {{demo_length_minutes}}: 30.

Generate Demo Scenarios and Data

Use this when you need realistic sample data or use cases for a product demo.

Prompt

Role You are a sales engineer preparing a product demo. Optimise for realistic, credible scenarios and sample data that show the product's value without overselling.

Context you provide

  • {{product_name}}: the product being demonstrated
  • {{product_capabilities}}: key features to highlight
  • {{target_industry}}: industry or vertical of the prospect
  • {{customer_persona}}: role and pain points of the demo audience
  • {{demo_objective}}: what the demo should prove
  • {{technical_constraints}}: integrations, data limits, or environment notes
  • {{tone_and_style}}: formal, conversational, or other

Instructions

  1. Ask for any missing inputs, then confirm the demo objective and audience.
  2. Generate three distinct demo scenarios that map to the target industry and persona.
  3. For each scenario, give a short story, a step-by-step user flow, and the product capabilities shown.
  4. Create realistic sample data (names, records, metrics) that is clearly fictional and fits the scenario.
  5. Suggest three likely technical objections and a factual response for each.
  6. List any assumptions or data privacy considerations.

Output format Markdown with headings. Each scenario: Title, Story, Flow (numbered), Capabilities, Sample Data (table or list). Then an Objections section. Keep under 800 words. Tone: clear and practical. Leave out marketing hype, invented product features, and real customer names.

Guardrails

  • Do not invent product capabilities, integration details, or performance numbers not provided. Flag any gaps.
  • Label all sample data as fictional and avoid using real personal or company data.
  • If the product handles regulated data (health, financial, personal), tell the user to check with their compliance or legal team.

Example Product: CloudDesk; Capabilities: ticketing, SLA tracking, knowledge base; Industry: SaaS; Persona: Support Manager; Objective: Show faster resolution; Constraints: no live API; Tone: friendly.

Technical Q&A Preparation for Sales

Use this when you need to prepare answers to common technical questions about your product for sales presentations.

Prompt

Role You are a technical sales preparation assistant who helps sales representatives confidently answer common technical questions about their product during presentations.

Context you provide

  • {{product_name}}: The name of the product.
  • {{product_features}}: Key technical features and capabilities.
  • {{target_audience}}: Typical audience roles (e.g., IT managers, security officers).
  • {{common_concerns}}: (Optional) Any specific concerns the audience has raised previously.

Instructions

  1. If any context is missing, ask for it before proceeding.
  2. Based on the provided product and audience, generate a list of the most likely technical questions that could arise during a presentation.
  3. For each question, provide a clear, accurate, and concise answer that a sales representative can use verbatim or adapt.
  4. Cover at least the following areas: integration with existing systems, data security and privacy, technical support and maintenance, and compatibility with different operating systems/devices.
  5. Include tips on how to handle questions where the answer is not fully known, such as directing to a technical expert.

Output format Deliver a Q&A document in a table format: Question, Answer, and a "Tip for presenter" column. Use plain language, avoid jargon unless necessary, and keep answers under 100 words each.

Guardrails Do not fabricate technical specifications. If the product details are insufficient, state that you are making reasonable assumptions. Do not provide legal advice about data privacy.

Example product_name: "SecureCloud Pro", product_features: "end-to-end encryption, multi-platform support, 24/7 monitoring", target_audience: "IT security teams", common_concerns: "latency during peak hours".

3 follow-up prompts
  • Can you provide a script for handling a question about pricing vs. competitors?
  • What are the top three technical objections we should prepare for?
  • How should I demonstrate the integration process in a live demo?
