The American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS) has named Arron Lamp as Chief Information Officer, effective August 10, 2026. He will lead the organization's technology strategy, modernization, and AI readiness-a move that reflects the property and casualty insurance sector's growing investment in executive-level technology leadership to serve members more efficiently.
"As technology continues to transform the property and casualty insurance industry, having a strong technology leader is essential to delivering on our mission and creating value for our Members," said Keith Wolfe, President & CEO of AAIS. "We are excited to welcome Arron Lamp to our Executive Leadership Team. His experience leading technology strategy, cybersecurity, and digital transformation will strengthen our ability to enhance the Member experience and position AAIS for continued growth."
The role
Lamp will oversee AI readiness, cybersecurity, data management, enterprise applications, and the overall technology infrastructure. He will work with executive leadership to align technology capabilities with enterprise priorities and promote a culture of continuous improvement. The position signals a broader trend in AI for Executives & Strategy, where organizations embed technology governance directly into their senior leadership teams.
"Technology is most valuable when it empowers people to do their best work," Lamp said. "I'm excited to join AAIS at a time of tremendous opportunity to modernize our technology, leverage data more effectively, and deliver innovative solutions that help our Members succeed. I look forward to working with AAIS's talented team to build a more secure and forward-looking technology foundation that enables AAIS to better serve our Members today and well into the future."
Industry background
Lamp brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in strategy, technology, AI, data and analytics, and large-scale digital transformation within P&C insurance. He has held senior technology roles at Tokio Marine HCC - Public Risk Group, Everest Insurance, and Travelers. Earlier in his career, he led business transformation, distribution technology, and analytics efforts at Farmers Insurance, Beazley, Liberty Mutual, and Selective Insurance.
AAIS, founded in 1936, is a national not-for-profit advisory organization governed by its Member insurance carriers. It provides policy forms, rating guidelines, and data management capabilities across commercial lines, inland marine, farm & agriculture, auto, and personal lines.
Why this matters for executives and strategy
The appointment underscores how organizations are making AI readiness a direct responsibility of the CIO role-not a side initiative. For executives, the message is clear: technology leadership now sits at the core of operational resilience and competitive positioning. CIOs navigating similar transformations can find structured guidance through an AI Learning Path for CIOs that addresses strategy, security, and adoption at scale. Embedding this capability at the executive level helps insurers move faster on data-driven decisions while managing risk responsibly.
