Advantech and DEKRA partner on industrial cybersecurity compliance

Advantech and DEKRA have formed a partnership that combines industrial computing hardware with certification support for connected and AI-enabled systems. The arrangement is designed to help manufacturers address cybersecurity compliance requirements more directly during system development.

Under the collaboration, Advantech provides the computing platforms while DEKRA contributes testing and certification expertise. The goal is to create a more integrated path for meeting industrial cybersecurity standards, reducing the fragmentation that can occur when hardware selection and compliance verification are handled separately.

Operational accountability for deployed systems remains with the end-user organization. The partnership does not transfer responsibility for ongoing security management or regulatory adherence away from the deployer.
