Ansarada and Legora integrate to let deal teams import data room documents directly into legal AI

Legora and Ansarada now let deal teams import documents directly from Ansarada data rooms into Legora for AI-powered diligence, cutting out manual downloads and re-uploads.

Legora and Ansarada have built a direct integration that lets deal teams browse their Ansarada data rooms from inside Legora and import documents for AI-powered diligence, drafting, and closing work. The integration, announced October 20, removes the manual steps of downloading files, recreating folder structures, and re-uploading documents across platforms - a process that eats into time on live transactions where deadlines are tight.

The connection is available in beta to Legora customers who have access to an Ansarada data room. It will be especially relevant for law firms and in-house teams in Australia and New Zealand, where Ansarada has been embedded in transaction workflows for two decades.

How the integration works

Users sign in with their own Ansarada credentials inside Legora. The platform shows only the rooms, folders, and documents that person is already permitted to see under their Ansarada permissions. Every document imported into Legora is recorded in the data room's audit trail under the user's name, so room administrators keep the same visibility they have today.

From there, deal teams can browse their data rooms without leaving Legora, import documents or entire folders in one step while preserving the original folder structure, and run diligence tasks. That includes summarising documents, extracting key terms, and working through due diligence with Legora Agent, or comparing documents side by side in a Tabular Review. Teams can also draft from imported documents and build closing checklists in Legora Lists.

What the companies said

"Ansarada exists to keep deal information secure and every step of a transaction accounted for," said Michael Dean, Chief Operating Officer at Ansarada. "Connecting with Legora gives mutual customers a direct route from the data room into legal AI, on the terms their room administrators have already set."

Heather Paterson, VP Revenue, APAC at Legora, said the integration reinforces Legora's position as a legal operating system for end-to-end work. "Ansarada has been part of how deals get done in Australia and New Zealand for two decades, and many of our customers here run their transactions through it," she said. "Bringing those data rooms into Legora means deal teams can take data room documents from first review all the way to closing, all without having to leave the Legora platform."

For lawyers, in-house counsel, and deal managers running transactions under time pressure, this integration cuts out repetitive export-import work that adds no value. Instead of spending billable hours moving files, teams can start substantive review sooner. The audit trail integration also means compliance and oversight don't get lost when documents move between platforms - a practical concern for anyone managing sensitive deal information.
