Axe Compute Names Kyle Okamoto President
Axe Compute has appointed Kyle Okamoto as President, effective April 1, 2026. The move brings infrastructure systems expertise to the GPU provider's executive team as it pursues enterprise clients.
Okamoto joins from Aethir, where he served as Chief Technology Officer and General Manager. At Aethir, he helped scale a decentralized GPU network to over 400,000 GPUs across 200+ locations in 93 countries.
In his new role, Okamoto will lead enterprise client development, operational scale, and global expansion. He reports to CEO Christopher Miglino.
Why Infrastructure Expertise Matters
Miglino said the appointment reflects a conviction that selling GPU infrastructure requires deep technical knowledge of that infrastructure. "Leading the growth strategy for enterprise GPU infrastructure requires a deep understanding of the infrastructure itself," he said in a statement.
Okamoto described the enterprise AI infrastructure problem as fundamentally a distribution challenge. "Axe Compute's business model is built to solve it," he said.
Background
Before Aethir, Okamoto held leadership roles at Aeris Communications, Ericsson, Edge Gravity, and Verizon Media. He serves on several boards and advisory positions in AI, cloud, and edge computing.
He holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from NYU Stern and a Bachelor of Engineering in Systems Engineering and Economics from Stevens Institute of Technology.
