Bluebeam Launches AI-Powered Max Subscription Globally

Bluebeam has launched Bluebeam Max, a premium subscription tier that automates repetitive tasks in construction and design workflows. The platform, now available globally, integrates AI-powered tools to help architecture, engineering, and construction professionals reduce manual work and identify project risks earlier.

The subscription builds on Bluebeam Revu, the company's core PDF and markup tool used across the construction industry. Max adds several capabilities: natural-language task automation through Anthropic Claude, automated annotation tools, and features that compare design revisions and flag discrepancies between versions.

More than 2,000 beta users tested the platform before launch, reporting productivity gains in design and construction workflows. Martin-Harris Construction, a US-based construction management firm, used the revision comparison and design analysis tools to streamline project reviews.

What's Included

  • Magic Markups: automates repetitive annotations across drawings
  • Smart Overlay: compares design revisions side-by-side
  • Smart Review: identifies design discrepancies and scope gaps
  • Stitching: combines multiple drawing sheets into a single view
  • Connected Studio Sessions: links Bluebeam markups directly to Revit BIM models

The natural-language automation feature lets users describe tasks in plain English, with the system handling the work. This addresses a common pain point in construction: teams spend significant time managing information rather than analyzing it.

Bluebeam, owned by the Nemetschek Group, first previewed Max at its Unbound 2025 conference. The subscription is available through the company's webstore and existing distribution channels.
