Causaly Adds AI Workflows to Automate Drug Research Processes
Causaly announced Scientific Workflows on May 28, a new feature in its AI platform that turns how scientists work into automated processes that multiple AI agents can execute consistently across research programs.
The tool takes the expertise embedded in standard operating procedures and individual scientists' knowledge-how to weigh conflicting evidence, when data supports a conclusion, what outputs need to demonstrate before approval-and codifies it into governed workflows. This lets R&D teams scale their best practices without losing quality or consistency as people leave.
The Problem: Inconsistency and Institutional Knowledge Loss
Most pharmaceutical research relies on a mix of documented procedures, individual expertise, and manual analysis. This creates gaps and inconsistencies, especially when experienced scientists depart and take their methods with them.
