Crowne Plaza Reserve is a new booking channel and loyalty program the IHG hotel brand launched for IT consultants, developers, and other remote workers who need on-demand workspace and meeting rooms without an overnight stay.
The program lets professionals book hotel spaces by the hour during business hours. Meeting rooms, quiet desks, and full business amenities are available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. IHG is positioning this as a direct alternative to co-working memberships for distributed teams that need occasional in-person gathering points.
How the booking model works
Reservations are made through a dedicated web portal separate from standard room booking. Users select a location, time slot, and workspace type. Pricing follows an hourly model, with half-day and full-day caps. No room key or front desk check-in is required for day-use bookings. Access codes are delivered by email 30 minutes before the reservation starts.
Meeting spaces include AV equipment, video conferencing hardware, and guest Wi-Fi segmented from the hotel's public network. Individual workstations sit in converted lounge areas with power outlets, task lighting, and ergonomic chairs. IHG confirmed the Wi-Fi networks meet enterprise security standards, a detail that matters for developers handling proprietary code or regulated data.

The Reserve package bundles several services aimed at technical workers. High-speed internet with a minimum 100 Mbps symmetrical connection is guaranteed at each location. Each booking also includes access to a dedicated IT support line for connectivity issues. The support team handles VPN compatibility questions and can provide static IP assignments for users who need them. This tier of network support is uncommon in standard co-working spaces.
Locations and rollout timeline
The program launched with 12 properties across Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, and Northern Virginia. IHG plans to add 40 more locations by the end of the second quarter, focusing on suburban office parks and airport corridors where distributed teams often meet.
