DriveCentric releases Service-to-Sales agent to convert service appointments into trade-in opportunities

DriveCentric has released a new AI agent that automatically identifies service customers likely to trade in their vehicles and engages them to create sales opportunities. The Service-to-Sales Agent, available for early access now and generally on August 1, 2026, runs natively within the DriveCentric Engagement Platform, eliminating the need for additional software or integrations.

The agent uses DriveCentric's Genius AI to analyze customer, vehicle, and service data already in the dealership's CRM. It initiates personalized conversations, gauges purchase intent, and surfaces qualified leads for sales teams-all while respecting existing opt-in/out preferences and using the same communication tools the dealership already manages.

Because the agent works inside the platform, every opportunity it generates appears on the unified DriveCentric Customer Card. Sales staff see exactly what was sent, when, and why, preventing message collisions and lost leads.

Native AI avoids the bolt-on trap

Many dealerships have tried to mine the service lane by adding separate tools with their own logins, data feeds, and DMS fees. Those tools often create duplicate customer records and siloed views. DriveCentric's approach keeps everything in one system, on integrations the dealership already maintains. No new vendor onboarding, no duplicate data.

Part of a growing agent portfolio

The Service-to-Sales Agent joins the Performance Management Agent, which acts as an AI coach for sales professionals. Both agents were built by DriveCentric AI Labs and shipped within weeks of customer requests, said Michael Affronti, Chief Product and Business Officer at DriveCentric. "Because every agent is native to one platform and one clean data foundation, we can turn dealer feedback into working AI faster than anyone else in automotive. And we are just getting started."

"DriveCentric never stands still. They continue to deliver innovation that solves real dealership challenges, and their Performance Agent and Service-to-Sales Agents are two great examples," said Dennis Gingrich, Sales & Finance Director at the Niello Group. "By helping us coach our teams, and identify trade-in opportunities directly from our service lane while engaging customers natively within the DriveCentric CRM, we're creating new sales opportunities from existing customer relationships while keeping our teams focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience in the Niello way."

Why this matters for sales professionals

Service-to-sales isn't a new concept, but doing it without extra tools changes the math. Sales teams get a steady stream of pre-qualified trade-in leads from customers already in the system, without logging into another dashboard or chasing duplicate records. The agent handles the outreach, so reps can focus on closing deals. For dealerships, it means more inventory from the service lane and a tighter connection between service and sales-all on one platform.
