Evaxion A/S wins 2026 Prix Galien UK Award for best digital health solution with AI-Immunology

Copenhagen-based clinical-stage TechBio company Evaxion A/S won the 2026 Prix Galien UK Award for Best Digital Health Solution on June 12. The award validates the company's AI-Immunology platform, which uses artificial intelligence to identify and develop vaccine candidates for cancer and infectious diseases, highlighting the growing role of computational methods in pharmaceutical research.

The award was presented to Evaxion CEO Helen Tayton-Martin at the Natural History Museum in London. A committee of 12 scientific leaders selected the company from a pool of 10 candidates. The jury evaluated candidates based on scientific development, clinical application, and tangible impact on human health.

"We are honored to receive this distinction, which rewards the unique capabilities of AI-Immunology™ in effective vaccine target discovery, design and development," Tayton-Martin said. "We are even more proud since this is the second recognition from the Galien Prix Foundation in less than a year. This kind of external validation is a great boost to our efforts to continuously improve AI-Immunology™ and bring forward safe and effective vaccine candidates in cancer and infectious disease."

Platform capabilities and pipeline

The AI-Immunology platform focuses on rapid target discovery and drug design, demonstrating practical applications of AI for Healthcare. Evaxion employs a team of more than 40 experts to manage the development pipeline from initial discovery to clinical stages. The company is currently developing both personalized and off-the-shelf cancer vaccines, alongside prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases.

Previous recognition

This marks the second time the Galien Prix Foundation has recognized Evaxion in under a year. In December 2025, the company received an award for Best Medical Technology and AI Advances in the Nordic, high-growth European, and Middle Eastern regions. The Prix Galien Awards have selected research-driven healthcare innovations in the UK since 1990.

Why this matters for product development professionals

Teams building products in the life sciences sector must increasingly integrate computational models into early-stage research. The success of the AI-Immunology platform shows that artificial intelligence can accelerate target discovery and drug design, reducing the time required to move candidates into clinical trials. Product managers and researchers should track how these platforms validate their outputs through external scientific committees to ensure rigorous clinical application.
