Event Temple launches AI sales coordinator to speed hotel responses to group inquiries

75% of hotel group RFPs go to the fastest responder, yet most properties can't staff every hour demand arrives. Event Temple's AI Sales Coordinator processes inquiries from any channel and builds bookings automatically, giving teams pipeline-ready leads without adding headcount.

Event Temple launches AI sales coordinator to speed hotel responses to group inquiries

Event Temple released its AI Sales Coordinator on September 16, 2026, an AI agent built directly into the company's sales and catering platform that processes group inquiries from any channel and creates actionable bookings automatically. The tool targets a persistent revenue leak for hotels: roughly 75% of RFPs go to the fastest responder, yet most properties cannot staff every hour that demand arrives.

The AI Sales Coordinator works inquiries as they land, regardless of time or format. It reads what the planner is asking for and generates a booking inside Event Temple, ready for the sales team to pick up. Teams open the platform to a pipeline that has already moved, instead of spending hours sifting through emails and manually logging data.

"Hotel sales teams are measured on group revenue, and too much of their week disappears into work that does not win a single booking," said Bob Graham, CEO of Event Temple. "That work still has to happen. Now it can happen on every inquiry and our customers get a coordinator's coverage without the headcount."

How the agent handles group inquiries

The agent ingests leads from every channel a property uses and prioritizes anything affecting revenue so it surfaces first. It operates inside the same platform, pipeline, and booking records the team already trusts. There is no second system to check or reconcile.

Hotels control how much of the agent runs. Every AI feature can be switched on or off per property through an AI Control Center. "Nothing runs that a hotel has not chosen to run, and there is nothing to reconcile afterwards," said Pouyan Taghipour, CTO of Event Temple. The guest relationship stays with the sales team throughout.

Coverage without headcount

The economics are straightforward. Group inquiries arrive at all hours in different formats - email, venue sourcing platforms, direct web forms. Without 24-hour staffing, inquiries that land outside business hours wait. The fastest responder typically wins the business, so delays translate directly into lost group revenue.

By automating the intake and data-entry work, the AI Sales Coordinator gives sales teams more time for quoting, negotiating, and closing. Event Temple positions this as adding coordinator-level coverage without hiring additional staff. The feature is generally available to Event Temple customers as of the announcement date.

Why this matters for hospitality and events professionals

For hotel sales directors and event managers, response speed is one of the few variables entirely within a property's control. An AI agent that handles inquiries overnight or during back-to-back site visits removes a structural disadvantage against competitors with larger teams. The practical result is fewer lost leads and more hours in the week for revenue-generating conversations - without changing the tools the team already uses.
