EZOps launches AI tool to automate oilfield task creation
EZOps has released EZTasks.ai, an AI feature that converts voice recordings, text, documents, and photos into operational tasks within its mobile oilfield management platform. The tool is designed to reduce manual data entry for field crews working at wellsites and remote production locations.
Field personnel can generate tasks by speaking observations aloud, copying text from emails, uploading inspection reports, or capturing images. The system processes this unstructured information and suggests operational tasks ready for deployment in the platform.
The feature addresses a practical problem: field teams spend time on administrative work instead of operations. Tracy Gray, vice president of EZOps, said the company built the tool with input from its Customer Advisory Board, which includes representatives from drilling, completions, and production operators and service companies.
EZTasks.ai is available now to EZOps customers in the United States and Canada through the company's mobile and desktop platforms. The launch is the first of several AI-focused platform updates planned for 2026 as operators prioritize automation and digital workflows.
