Finda and Upstage partner to build AI agents for financial services
Fintech platform Finda and AI startup Upstage signed a memorandum of understanding Wednesday to jointly develop an agentic AI platform for financial institutions. The partnership combines Finda's financial expertise and proprietary data with Upstage's large language model technology.
Finda will provide financial domain data, support model fine-tuning through direct preference optimization labeling, deploy financial specialists for testing, and advise on regulatory compliance. Upstage will lead development of finance-specific AI models based on its proprietary LLM Solar and build the agent training platform.
What each company brings
Upstage will handle design, development, testing, and implementation of the AI agents. The two companies also plan to explore new business opportunities and collaborate on marketing.
Upstage CEO Kim Sung-hoon said the company will "develop AI agents optimized for financial environments based on our Solar model and deliver solutions that can be readily applied in the workplace."
Finda co-CEO Park Hong-min said the partnership has potential to reshape the financial industry through an advanced agentic AI platform.
Background
The agreement builds on work that started in March, when the companies joined forces to commercialize AI solutions for the financial sector. Finda is also participating in Upstage's consortium for South Korea's government-backed sovereign AI foundation model initiative.
The partnership could expand into other AI-related projects beyond the initial finance-focused platform.
