FPT and SCG Partner on AI-Driven Operations and Enterprise Transformation
FPT Corporation and SCG, an ASEAN conglomerate, signed a memorandum of understanding on June 1 to jointly develop AI and digital transformation initiatives across SCG's business units. The collaboration targets intelligent enterprise platforms, advanced ERP systems, and AI-driven operations to improve efficiency and sustainability.
The agreement was signed during Vietnamese General Secretary and State President To Lam's official visit to Bangkok, bringing together Thai and Vietnamese business executives to formalize the strategic partnership.
Scope of the Collaboration
Both companies will explore AI integration across production, operations, and business functions. The partnership covers AI-driven industrial transformation, digital platforms, integrated ecosystems, enterprise digital transformation, digital infrastructure, and security governance.
For FPT, the challenge extends beyond technology access. The company must embed AI into the right processes, with the right people, and under the right governance to generate measurable business value.
FPT's Framework and Approach
FPT developed CASAA, a five-level AI capability framework that maps enterprise AI transformation from exploration to becoming a core organizational capability. The framework provides a clear roadmap for companies moving from pilot projects to scaled deployment.
Levi Nguyen, FPT's Chief Executive Officer for Thailand and Taiwan, said the partnership addresses a shift from pilot programs to real productivity gains in banking, retail, and manufacturing. "Through this partnership, FPT will support SCG to translate AI ambition into tangible business outcomes, driving smarter operations, accelerating innovation, and building a more resilient and sustainable industrial ecosystem across the region," Nguyen said.
SCG's Digital Transformation Goals
SCG is transitioning from a data-driven organization to an AI-driven enterprise. The company aims to embed artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation into core operations to maximize efficiency and unlock business value across its portfolio.
Thammasak Sethaudom, President and Chief Executive Officer of SCG, said the company has begun developing agentic AI and AI agents to reimagine workflows and accelerate speed, intelligence, and impact. "Through this partnership with FPT, we will combine our deep industry expertise with their world-class digital capabilities to accelerate scalable and practical AI solutions aimed for competitiveness," Sethaudom said.
