Girikon.AI has launched a Slack integration that automatically routes customer messages from WhatsApp and SMS into Slack channels, allowing support teams to manage conversations without switching between apps. The update, announced August 10, aims to address the fragmentation that occurs when enterprises communicate with customers across multiple messaging platforms while collaborating internally through different tools.
What the integration does
The feature works as part of Girikon.AI's existing enterprise communication platform. Messages sent through WhatsApp or SMS reach customers normally, but any replies they send are automatically forwarded to designated Slack channels. Sales, support, and operations teams can then see those responses, discuss them internally, and reply directly from Slack without toggling between their CRM, messaging apps, and collaboration tools.
Girikon.AI said the capability integrates with enterprise CRM workflows to create a connected process firms can use across industries including AI Agents & Automation, real estate, healthcare, financial services, and education.
Why this matters for support teams
Customer-facing teams today frequently juggle three or more systems - a messaging platform for customers, a collaboration tool for internal chat, and a CRM for records. That switching costs time and increases the chance of missed responses or miscommunication between team members. By funneling all customer replies into Slack, the integration removes the need to manually copy-paste or monitor multiple inboxes.
What the company says
Alok Anibha, founder of Girikon.AI, said in a statement: "Customer engagement today extends beyond communicating with customers. It also depends on how effectively internal teams collaborate to deliver timely responses. Businesses are increasingly looking for connected communication ecosystems that reduce operational complexity while improving customer experience. By enabling customer conversations to flow directly into Slack, we are helping enterprises bridge customer communication and team collaboration through a unified AI-powered workflow."
Why this matters for customer support professionals
If your team fields inbound messages from customers on WhatsApp and SMS, then has to forward screenshots or copy-paste replies into Slack to coordinate with colleagues, this integration directly cuts that overhead. The workflow moves conversation data into the tool your colleagues already use, which reduces the chance of customers waiting while internal handoffs bounce between email, phone calls, and the support dashboard. Expect similar integrations from other platforms to shape how customer-facing roles design their daily workflows.
