Globe Telecom Advances AI Leadership at DTW Ignite 2025
Globe Telecom demonstrated its expanding role in artificial intelligence (AI) at Digital Transformation World (DTW) Ignite 2025, an influential global event for the telecommunications sector. Hosted in Copenhagen by TM Forum, the conference centered on digital innovation strategies and transformation efforts across the industry. Globe highlighted its AI roadmap focused on scalable, human-centered innovation and fostering collaboration across industries.
Practical AI Approach: The Kitchen Strategy
Anton Bonifacio, Globe’s Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, delivered a keynote titled “Becoming AI & Data Natives.” He compared Globe’s AI development to running a kitchen, underscoring the need for foundational readiness, collaboration, and reusability. “It's a foundation-first approach—building common AI landing zones, observability stacks, and LLM guardrails that can be reused to accelerate innovation across teams,” Bonifacio explained.
This approach ensures that AI infrastructure is not created in silos but shared across teams, enabling faster development cycles and more reliable systems.
Democratizing AI for Frontline Innovation
Bonifacio emphasized the value of empowering employees with accessible AI tools, such as low-code and no-code platforms and instant access to large language models (LLMs). This strategy allows those closest to operational challenges to develop AI-driven, practical solutions quickly. “We're still assembling the team, so why not empower all of our employees with the right tools and let those closest to the pain points solve the problems?” he said.
By enabling a broader group within the company to contribute to AI initiatives, Globe accelerates problem-solving and innovation directly where it matters most.
Extending AI Collaboration to Customers
Globe aims to expand its AI ecosystem beyond internal teams to include customers, allowing co-creation of solutions within a shared, secure environment. “We want to empower our customers to cook in the same kitchen,” Bonifacio noted. The emphasis is on integrated systems rather than fragmented vendor tools that can cause inefficiency and lock-in.
This inclusive approach encourages innovation partnerships and streamlines workflows by avoiding siloed technology stacks.
Recognition for AI-Driven Initiatives
Globe’s Network Digitalization team, led by Dennis Abella, earned three Open Innovation Catalyst Awards during the event for Business Impact, Attendees’ Choice, and Interactive Showcase. One standout project was an AI-powered customer satisfaction engine that uses predictive analytics, graph-based modeling, and intelligent automation to improve user experience and reduce churn.
Additionally, Globe showcased its AI-native network architecture featuring real-time decision-making layers, scalable cloud-first operations, and a unified data foundation aligned with TM Forum standards.
Leading the Global AI Conversation
“DTW Ignite 2025 confirmed that Globe is no longer just participating in the global AI conversation, we're helping lead it,” Bonifacio concluded.
