Guidewire Embeds AI Assistant Into Insurance Workflows
Guidewire launched ProNavigator, an AI assistant built directly into its core insurance software, allowing underwriters, claims adjusters, and customer service representatives to access role-specific guidance without leaving their work screens. The tool surfaces information at the moment a decision needs to be made.
ProNavigator operates within Guidewire's InsuranceSuite and InsuranceNow platforms, available as of the company's Palisades release. The assistant grounds its answers in an insurer's own documents and provides citations, letting users verify where information comes from.
How It Works
The system enforces role-based access controls, meaning employees only see documents they're authorized to access. Every decision generates an audit trail, and humans remain in control-the AI offers guidance rather than making decisions automatically.
Guidewire designed ProNavigator to reduce setup time. It arrives production-ready and stays current with each software release, eliminating the long-term maintenance burden many insurers face when deploying AI tools.
Broader Platform Updates
The Palisades release includes other operational improvements for P&C insurers. A new Jutro Developer Assistant helps developers build digital experiences faster. Enhanced funds tracking improves accuracy in payment and refund reconciliation with complete audit trails.
A redesigned claims adjuster experience targets London Market operations, while a new workers' compensation template offers self-service access to financial data and predictive insights on litigation outcomes. PricingCenter rating capabilities now work inside PolicyCenter for personal and commercial lines.
