Guidewire Embeds AI Assistant Into Insurance Core Applications

Guidewire launched ProNavigator, an AI assistant built directly into its InsuranceSuite and InsuranceNow platforms. The tool, released as part of the Palisades update on April 17, provides underwriters, claims adjusters, billing specialists, and customer service representatives with role-specific guidance to speed decisions and reduce time spent searching for answers.

ProNavigator grounds its responses in an insurer's own documents and data sources, providing citations so users can verify information. The system enforces role-based access controls, meaning employees only see documents they're authorized to access. All interactions create audit trails, maintaining a record of how decisions were made.

What ProNavigator Does

  • Delivers answers specific to each user's role and responsibilities
  • Cites sources so users know where information comes from
  • Restricts access based on job function and permissions
  • Maintains audit trails for compliance and review
  • Stays current with each platform release without requiring manual updates

Amy Mollin, Vice President of Product Management at Guidewire, said the assistant "gives insurance professionals exactly the right information, right when they need it." By embedding it into existing workflows rather than requiring a separate tool, insurers can move from testing AI to actually using it in daily operations.

Broader Updates in Palisades Release

Beyond ProNavigator, Palisades adds capabilities across several areas. A new Jutro Developer Assistant helps developers build digital experiences faster while adhering to design standards. Enhanced funds tracking improves accuracy in payment and refund reconciliation, with complete audit trails for finance teams.

Claims teams get a redesigned experience tailored for London Market operations, with improved electronic claim exchanges with brokers and bureaus. Workers' compensation teams can now access financial data and predictive information on litigation outcomes through a new self-service template.

Pricing teams gain access to real-time rating and quoting across all channels. PricingCenter capabilities are now available inside PolicyCenter for personal and high-volume commercial lines.

Some features may not be available in all regions. Jutro Developer Assistant is currently available only to early access customers.
