Hitachi Energy and Ansaldo Energia partner on data-center power systems

Hitachi Energy and Ansaldo Energia have agreed to combine their generation and grid equipment offerings for large electricity users, including operators of AI data centers. The partnership is designed to deliver integrated power planning that can accelerate project timelines for facilities with concentrated energy demands.

The arrangement brings together Hitachi Energy’s grid infrastructure technology and Ansaldo Energia’s power generation systems. For data-center developers and other major consumers, the combined scope is intended to simplify the coordination of generation assets and network connections during the construction and commissioning phases.

Integrated planning can speed project execution, but operators must still address redundancy requirements, emissions controls and community-impact measures independently. The companies did not disclose financial terms or a timeline for the first joint deployments.
