HMG Strategy will hold its 12th Annual St. Louis C-Level Technology Leadership Summit on Tuesday, August 25 at the Hilton St. Louis Frontenac. The event brings together CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, and other senior technology executives to address AI governance, Agentic AI adoption, and cybersecurity resilience - priorities that have become board-level concerns as organizations push AI initiatives into production.
Attendance is complimentary for qualified technology executives, but seating is limited. The summit is part of HMG Strategy's broader executive leadership framework, which connects senior technology leaders through peer-to-peer engagement and research initiatives.
What the summit will cover
Four themes anchor the agenda: AI leadership and governance, cybersecurity resilience, the "CEO of Technology" vision, and digital transformation through data intelligence and cloud strategy. Sessions will address practical implementation questions, including how to manage Agentic AI systems responsibly and how to build security frameworks that account for AI-native threats.
Hunter Muller, Founder and CEO of HMG Strategy, said the event focuses on the expanding role of technology leaders.
"As AI reshapes every industry, technology leaders are being called upon to expand their roles beyond traditional IT management and become strategic business leaders who influence the boardroom, drive innovation and strengthen organizational resilience," Muller said. "By fostering trusted relationships and the exchange of actionable insights, we're helping technology leaders prepare their organizations for the future while building stronger, more influential careers."
Executive sessions and speakers
The agenda opens with Muller leading discussions featuring Chiro Aikat, Co-President of Mastercard in the United States, and Ellen Sundra, VP Customers at Horizon3.ai. A panel on designing the future workforce will include Aikat, Jim Cavellier (Cass Information Systems), Rodney Masney (Rimini Street), and Jennifer Walton (St. Louis Zoo), led by Jeff Brittain of the FedEx Institute of Technology.
Security innovation gets its own panel with Chris Cockburn (CISA), Roftiel Constantine (Barry-Wehmiller), Sean Mullins (Cass Information Systems), Nick Puetz (Cyera), and Andrew Wilder (Washington University St. Louis). A separate panel covers data, AI, and strategic technologies with representatives from SAP, RGA, Archevia, and Mercy. Additional sessions address scaling resilience through innovation, operating AI at enterprise scale, and leading through uncertainty.
Lunch roundtables will cover topics including AI implementation lessons, cybersecurity, AI ethics, reskilling, and managing multi-generational workforces. The summit also includes HMG's Innovation Accelerator Startup Showcase, introduced by Muller and Omer Singer, Co-Founder & CTO of Glow.
Several St. Louis-area technology executives will receive Global Leadership Institute Awards for their contributions to enterprise transformation. Executives interested in attending can find more information at HMG Strategy's website or by contacting the organization directly. For technology leaders weighing how to structure AI governance and security responsibilities, the summit offers a chance to see how peer organizations are assigning accountability for these functions. Executives can also explore structured training such as an AI Learning Path for CIOs or review AI for Executives & Strategy resources before the event.
Why this matters for executives and strategy leaders
The summit addresses a specific pressure point: technology leaders are being asked to move beyond IT management into business strategy roles, but many lack a clear framework for doing so. The agenda focuses on how to make that transition - through board influence, security strategy, and AI implementation approaches that produce measurable outcomes. For executives in the St. Louis region, the event offers a chance to compare approaches with peers facing the same organizational expectations, rather than learning in isolation.
