iCapital Partners with Anthropic to Integrate Claude Into Advisor Platform
Alternative investment platform iCapital will use Anthropic's Claude to improve how financial advisors discover funds, access education, and manage subscriptions on its software platform.
The firm selected Claude based on its reasoning capabilities, interpretability, and ability to operate in compliance-heavy environments. iCapital has already begun testing Claude Code within its development platform and plans to expand it across client-facing applications and internal operations.
Expansion Across Advisor Tools
iCapital CEO Lawrence Calcano said the company aims to integrate Claude across all advisor-facing applications to drive ease of use and operational efficiency. The integration could eventually allow iCapital to consolidate some of its existing applications.
"We want to be very much on the front foot with respect to adapting AI," Calcano said. "It's almost part of our whole design process as we think about building out applications."
Calcano cited Claude's scale and industrial-grade capabilities as reasons the partnership positions iCapital well to build new features. The company will maintain an open AI architecture model across its platform rather than relying solely on a single vendor.
