INTX Insurance Software has launched Tenet, an intelligence layer built into its unified operating system that brings AI capabilities across insurance workflows. The US-based enterprise software provider designed the system to connect information across the full (re)insurance lifecycle, rather than applying AI to individual tasks or documents in isolation.
Tenet covers treaty, policy, underwriting and knowledge intelligence, each focused on a different area of insurance operations. Treaty Intelligence converts reinsurance treaties into structured operational data for onboarding and governance across ceded and assumed business. Policy Intelligence analyses documentation to identify coverages, endorsements, exclusions, limits, deductibles and amendments.
Risk Intelligence reviews submissions against underwriting guidelines, authority levels and appetite to identify exceptions before decisions are finalized. Knowledge Intelligence connects information across policies, treaties, claims, accounting and underwriting, letting users access institutional knowledge within existing workflows.
How Tenet differs from piecemeal AI
The system runs across INTX's existing software suite. ReinsureConnect supports ceded reinsurance processes including treaty and facultative accounting, recoverables, bordereaux and Schedule F reporting. INTX Re handles assumed reinsurance administration for premium and loss accounting, bordereaux and capacity management, while INTX Core supports commercial property and casualty operations across risk, quoting, policy administration, billing, claims and servicing.
INTX said the shared data foundation across these products is central to Tenet's design. The company argued that platforms built from fragmented or acquired systems can add generative AI to individual processes, but may not provide the broader business context needed for complex insurance decisions. According to INTX, its operating system was already connecting underwriting, policy administration, reinsurance, claims, accounting and financial operations before the recent rise of generative AI, giving Tenet access to the combined data set from the outset.
The company plans to expand Tenet's capabilities to include claims operations, financial analytics, portfolio intelligence, capital management, regulatory reporting and wider enterprise decision support as development continues.
