Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan called for urgent amendments to India's legal framework to combat digital piracy and curb the misuse of artificial intelligence, including deepfakes, during a seminar in Kochi on Friday. Satheesan inaugurated the two-day seminar 'Music, Cinema and Law: Exploring the Intersections of Art, Culture and Law', jointly organized by the Kerala Judicial Academy and the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS). The event runs through September 13 and brings together legal scholars and industry figures to address gaps in current legislation.
