Kizen Launches AI Assistant Designed to Cut Insurance Agent Paperwork in Half

Kizen announced a new AI assistant built specifically for insurance agents that cuts post-call administrative work from 30-45 minutes down to three minutes. The tool, launching in Q2 2026, handles transcription, CRM updates, medication analysis, and follow-up scheduling - tasks that currently consume roughly two full workdays per week for the average agent.

Insurance agents spend significant time on paperwork after every client interaction. They transcribe conversations, update customer records, log medications and pharmacy information, and draft follow-up notes. This administrative burden cuts into time spent on client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.

What the Assistant Does

  • Transcribes and summarizes customer calls
  • Identifies recommended follow-up actions based on conversation content
  • Analyzes customer medications, pharmacies, and providers
  • Recommends insurance products for comprehensive coverage
  • Updates the agent's CRM in real time
  • Drafts and schedules personalized follow-up notes

The platform meets regulatory requirements for the insurance sector. Kizen's system holds SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and ISO-27001 compliance certifications. Human oversight checkpoints are built into workflows to ensure the AI functions as intended.

John Winner, CEO and co-founder of Kizen, said the goal is to "help our clients reclaim up to two full days per week by reducing manual processes." The company announced the product at the Medicarians conference in Las Vegas.

For professionals looking to understand how AI for Insurance and AI Agents & Automation are reshaping agent workflows, this represents a practical application of agentic AI in a regulated industry.
