Manulife Hong Kong, Alibaba Cloud Partner on AI for Insurance Operations
Manulife Hong Kong and Alibaba Cloud have signed a partnership to integrate artificial intelligence across insurance operations and develop AI-driven solutions for the sector. The agreement establishes a framework for responsible AI innovation that combines Manulife's insurance expertise with Alibaba Cloud's AI and cloud capabilities.
The two companies will create a joint AI hub focused on building next-generation applications in four areas: digital customer experiences, fraud detection, service personalization, and intelligent automation. The hub will explore new use cases aligned with Manulife's business priorities.
Manulife has already deployed AI across customer engagement, distribution support, and operational processes in Hong Kong. The company expects enterprise-wide AI initiatives to generate more than CAD$1 billion in value by 2027.
