Murata Plans ¥1 Trillion MLCC Capacity Expansion Through 2030

Murata Manufacturing Co. has outlined a capital investment plan totaling roughly ¥1 trillion through fiscal 2030 aimed at expanding multilayer ceramic capacitor production capacity. The spending is directed at meeting component demand from data centers, edge devices, mobility applications and robotics.

The multiyear commitment reflects the growing requirements of AI infrastructure, which is driving sustained ordering patterns deep into the electronic component supply chain. The investment will support manufacturing scale-up to serve these end markets over the remainder of the decade.
