NativeAds.ai has appointed Annika Geiger as executive vice president of sales for Europe, placing a former Amazon Ads, Magnite, and Oracle Advertising executive at the center of its push into European advertising and retail media markets. The hire signals the company's intent to connect its generative AI creative platform with the operational reality facing sales and marketing teams: more channels and more audience segments require more creative versions, but production resources have not scaled accordingly.
Based in London, Geiger will lead the company's European business and commercial strategy. Her mandate spans programmatic advertising, social media, connected TV, and retail media - areas where advertisers need to produce and adapt creative across audiences and placements without proportionally increasing headcount or agency spend.
Closing the gap between media targeting and creative production
Geiger most recently worked at Amazon Ads, managing key retailer relationships in the U.K. Before that, she led connected TV initiatives at Magnite, focusing on direct brand relationships and commerce media. Earlier in her career, she worked on contextual targeting and media measurement at Oracle Advertising. That trajectory gives her direct experience with the operational friction NativeAds.ai wants to address: media buying and audience targeting have become highly automated, but creative production remains a manual bottleneck.
"Creative is one of the biggest drivers of advertising performance, yet it remains one of the least scalable parts of the media workflow," Geiger said. She pointed to her time at Amazon, where brands with creative suited to the audience and timing could gain a measurable advantage, while producing those variations through traditional processes remained difficult.
Retail media and the versioning problem
The creative versioning challenge intensifies in retail media, where campaigns may require different assets for individual retailers, products, customer segments, and promotional windows. NativeAds.ai is building generative AI technology designed to automate that workflow, allowing brands and agencies to generate personalized advertising while embedding brand identity and channel-specific requirements directly into the creative process.
The company is also targeting retail media networks, where creative production requirements can exclude smaller advertisers. NativeAds.ai says its platform can help small and midsize businesses produce the assets needed to participate in retailer advertising programs. For larger consumer brands, the technology creates variations based on retailer, audience, product, and promotional event - a capability that matters when managing campaigns across dozens of retail partners simultaneously.
CEO and co-founder Al Kallel, who also built advertising businesses at Amazon, described Geiger's appointment as part of NativeAds.ai's broader international expansion. He cited her combination of commercial leadership and experience across retail media, connected TV, and programmatic channels.
European market presence
With Geiger leading the operation from London, NativeAds.ai is increasing its footprint in a market where retail media networks and automated advertising infrastructure continue to generate demand for creative variations. Geiger framed the opportunity in operational terms: "The media infrastructure has become incredibly sophisticated, but creative production hasn't kept pace. The next opportunity is connecting those two sides of advertising - making it as easy to personalize and adapt the creative as it is to define the audience and activate the media."
Geiger will represent the company at European advertising events. She is scheduled to speak during the D3con Programmatic Breakfast Lounge alongside DMEXCO about using AI to generate personalized advertising while maintaining brand identity. She will also speak at Retail Reshaped in Hamburg on November 17, with a session focused on how automated creative production could lower barriers for small and midsize advertisers entering retail media while helping larger FMCG brands develop retail-ready campaigns. For sales professionals working with AI for Marketing, the appointment signals where advertising technology investment is heading: toward tools that make creative production as scalable as media buying.
Why this matters for sales professionals
When creative production slows down campaign launches or limits the number of retailer-specific promotions a team can run, the constraint hits revenue directly. Sales leaders managing retail partnerships or co-op advertising programs should watch how AI-driven creative tools change the speed and volume of campaigns they can execute. Faster asset production means more tests, more tailored pitches to retail buyers, and the ability to respond to competitor promotions without waiting on creative turnaround. Geiger's appointment places an executive who understands both the media buying and the brand side of that equation in charge of bringing the technology to European advertisers - a signal that the market for automated creative is moving from experimental to operational.
