NTT DATA expands AI-powered infrastructure operations platform to global enterprises

NTT DATA is rolling out an AI-powered infrastructure operations platform across its global enterprise client base, including Daimler Truck. The deployment targets greater stability and efficiency through real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation across IT, cloud, SAP Basis, and network operations.

The platform monitors tens of thousands of devices in real time, unifying local and global environments under a single operational view. It coordinates hardware upgrades and lifecycle management to maintain fast, reliable connectivity for users and production sites. The company said the system continuously optimizes capacity and resource utilization without manual intervention.

What the platform delivers

The deployment focuses on four operational capabilities. Real-time monitoring gives teams visibility into global manufacturing environments to improve stability. AI-driven predictive insights flag potential disruptions before they hit production lines. Automated, multi-stage incident processing speeds resolution and cuts the volume of manual tasks tied to downtime events.

An AI-orchestrated global delivery model combines on-site expertise with offshore execution. This structure lets NTT DATA manage complex IT landscapes while keeping response times short and operational risk low.

"Our AI-powered platform significantly increases transparency and automation, providing the foundation for greater stability, faster response times and a future-ready IT architecture," said Abhijit Dubey, CEO and Chief AI Officer, NTT DATA, Inc. "Our work with Daimler Truck is one example of how we can operate global IT infrastructures securely, responsibly and at scale with clear business outcomes."

Scope of the rollout

NTT DATA, a $30 billion-plus services firm serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100, is expanding an existing platform rather than launching a new product. The company already provides AI-enabled operations for IT and cloud infrastructure, SAP Basis, and network operations worldwide. This expansion extends the same capabilities to larger, more complex enterprise environments.

The platform's incident processing engine handles multiple stages of resolution automatically. It reduces the time engineers spend on repetitive tasks and lowers the operational risk that comes with manual handoffs between teams.

Why this matters for operations professionals

For operations teams, the difference between a minor alert and a production stoppage often comes down to how fast someone sees the signal and acts on it. A platform that monitors tens of thousands of devices and automates incident response changes that equation. It shrinks the window between detection and resolution. That means fewer late-night escalations and more predictable uptime. For managers building an AI Learning Path for Operations Managers, the NTT DATA deployment offers a concrete model of how predictive analytics and automation layer onto existing infrastructure stacks without ripping them out.
