OneStream and Microsoft Expand Partnership to Scale AI in Finance Operations

OneStream and Microsoft announced an expanded strategic partnership on May 15, 2026, committing to invest over the next three years in AI infrastructure and adoption tools for finance leaders. The deal builds on their existing collaboration and aims to give CFOs the computational power and specialized tools needed to transform financial data into actionable insights.

OneStream, which serves 1,800 customers including 18% of the Fortune 500, runs entirely on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform. The expanded partnership focuses on three areas: scaling Azure infrastructure for OneStream's AI forecasting and agents, developing new AI-driven use cases integrated with Microsoft 365 Copilot, and executing global adoption programs to help enterprises transition from legacy systems.

What Finance Teams Will Get

OneStream's SensibleAI agents will integrate deeper into Microsoft 365 tools including Copilot, Teams, and Excel. This means finance professionals can run forecasts, detect anomalies, and query financial data without leaving the applications they use daily.

OneStream's solutions are already available on the Microsoft Marketplace, making it easier for enterprise customers to adopt and scale AI-powered finance capabilities.

Why This Matters Now

Tom Shea, OneStream's co-founder and CEO, said the Office of the CFO faces pressure to navigate economic volatility while maintaining competitive advantage. "AI is no longer a luxury, but a necessity," he said.

Katy Brown, corporate vice president for Americas Market and Industries at Microsoft, said the partnership reflects confidence in AI's ability to turn financial data into a strategic asset. "Together, we are providing the Office of the CFO with a unified, AI-first platform," she said.
