The Centre is India’s first dedicated institution focusing exclusively on the intersection of artificial intelligence, law, policy, and regulation. With India’s digital economy growing rapidly, addressing AI’s ethical, legal, and policy challenges has become urgent. The Centre will generate research, shape public policy, and build capacity to support ethical AI governance frameworks in India and internationally.
