Pearl Launches Dental Claims Platform to Cut Denials and Reimbursement Delays

Pearl released Pearl RCM, a revenue cycle management platform for dental practices that handles insurance verification, imaging quality checks, clinical documentation, and claim preparation within a single workflow. The platform aims to reduce claim denials and speed up reimbursement.

The tool embeds insurance checks earlier in the dental workflow-during scheduling, imaging, diagnosis, and treatment planning-rather than waiting until claims are submitted. Practices can identify missing documentation, coverage gaps, or imaging problems before sending claims to insurers.

Pearl RCM builds on the company's FDA-cleared dental AI imaging technology. Core features include automated eligibility verification, AI-powered x-ray quality assessment, and claim preparation tools designed to reduce denials and downcodes.

What Early Users Report

Practices using Pearl RCM have reduced administrative workload and improved first-pass clean claim submission rates, according to the company. Christine Marcin of Ballard Dental Partners said the platform saves her team hours daily by auto-verifying insurance and clarifying coverage details. "The new RCM toolset goes a big step further, ensuring we have the right evidence, codes, and documentation to clear claims without insurance back and forth," she said.

Ophir Tanz, Pearl's founder and CEO, said dental practices lose significant time and revenue managing disconnected insurance workflows. "Moving insurance verification and claim readiness to the point of care gives practices clarity and predictability that they've never had," he said.

Planned Additions

Pearl plans to add automated image attachment selection, AI-generated claim narratives, and analytics tools focused on claim performance and denial trends in future releases.
