Phenom and ServiceNow Connect AI Hiring Agents to Enterprise Platform

Phenom has integrated its AI hiring agents directly into the ServiceNow AI Platform, allowing hiring managers to conduct intake meetings, write job descriptions, source candidates, and screen applicants without leaving ServiceNow's interface. The integration launches this summer through the ServiceNow Store.

The partnership addresses a structural gap in enterprise hiring. Most organizations have separate systems for HR workflows and AI governance, forcing compliance teams to monitor AI activity outside the tools where work actually happens. This integration keeps both candidate engagement and approval processes in a single system.

How It Works

Phenom's agents operate inside ServiceNow Otto, the platform's AI orchestration layer. A hiring manager can request a new requisition and the agent guides them through intake, job description generation, candidate sourcing, and screening. Compliance checks, stakeholder notifications, and approvals remain in ServiceNow while the agent handles candidate interactions.

Both systems stay synchronized throughout. The ServiceNow AI Control Tower applies the same governance standards used across the business-no separate AI stack required.

Built on Open Standards

The connection uses A2A (Agent-to-Agent) and MCP (Model Context Protocol), emerging open standards that let AI systems share context and coordinate work. Rather than custom integration code, Phenom connects through these protocols, aligning with broader industry direction.

This approach embeds governance throughout the hiring workflow instead of treating it as a final checkpoint. Compliance becomes part of each step.

The Business Case

Slow hiring creates two problems: open roles stay unfilled longer, and talent acquisition can't keep pace as AI scales across other business functions. Without AI-assisted hiring integrated into existing workflows, enterprises face greater compliance exposure and inconsistent processes.

Saumil Gandhi, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Phenom, said: "The companies that dominate hiring won't be the ones with the most AI. They'll be the ones whose AI understands the realities of their business and operates inside the workflow that runs everything else."

John Phillips, Group Vice President of Employee Experience at ServiceNow, added that putting Phenom's agents into ServiceNow workflows gives hiring managers "the hiring intelligence and real-world context enterprises need to fill critical roles faster, with the governance required to scale."

What's Next

The integration becomes available to joint customers this summer. Phenom plans additional enhancements and extensions in coming months.

For HR leaders evaluating AI hiring tools, understanding how they integrate with existing systems matters more than the tool's capabilities alone. A hiring agent that works inside your current platform reduces friction and keeps compliance teams informed in real time.
