Pollo AI uses OpenAI models to help creators and brands produce campaign videos and images

Pollo AI, a platform with over 26 million users, built its video agent on OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra and GPT-Image-2.5. Users spend more than 50% less time choosing or switching models.

Pollo AI, a creative platform serving more than 26 million users, has built its latest video agent on OpenAI's newest models, including GPT-6 Astra and GPT-Image-2.5. The integration lets creators and marketers turn rough ideas into finished images and cinematic video ads without switching between multiple tools or needing production expertise.

"We want to do for video what Canva did for design," said Bill Zhu, founder and CEO of Pollo AI. "We want to make it easy enough that more people can actually use it, not just the ones who already know how."

How Pollo Agent interprets creative intent

Pollo Agent takes a user's rough ideas and visual references, then develops storylines, scene flows, and scripts. CTO Peter Zhou said OpenAI's models stood out for their ability to understand ambiguous creative inputs and their multimodal capability. "GPT-5.6 performed especially well there," he said. The team also cited the OpenAI API's stability and release cadence as factors in their choice.

To balance reasoning depth, speed, and cost, Pollo AI routes simpler tasks through GPT-5.6 and reserves GPT-6 Astra for heavier work like narrative development or scene revision planning. This model mix means the system matches reasoning level to the task based on the user's prompt. Pollo AI reports that users spend more than 50% less time choosing or switching models.

The platform tests generative models against real user prompts and workflows, evaluating output quality, consistency, stylistic range, speed, and cost. GPT-Image-2.5 was selected for all image generation tasks. "If we receive any task from a user to generate an image, we always use GPT-Image-2.5. It's especially good at working with different types of characters and letters," Zhou said.

From product photos to video ads in minutes

Pollo AI's primary users are content creators, with the platform gaining traction for micro dramas that mix AI and human actors. A growing segment of marketers and business owners now use it to develop video content quickly. The Photo to Video Ads tool inside the Marketing Studio suite converts a still image and prompt into a short video, targeting small businesses and DTC brands that need social media ads without the cost of a professional shoot.

One user turned a static fragrance bottle photo into a 15-second luxury ad. The tool generated velvet textures, warm spotlights, and tight close-ups, ending the sequence with the bottle framed against deep red fabric. The result captured a mood the still image alone could not convey.

Campaign visuals that replace studio shoots

A jewelry brand used Pollo Agent and GPT-Image-2.5 to create an editorial campaign image featuring its statement pieces on a model seated beside a cheetah. The tool framed the scene with dark drapery and warm lighting while keeping the jewelry highly visible. The brand received a finished luxury campaign visual with lower production effort, time, and cost compared to a live shoot.

Similarly, a beverage brand transformed a standard product shot of its peach soda into a snowy miniature landscape complete with a train, lizards, and sparkling droplets. The playful scene, generated through Pollo Agent and GPT-Image-2.5, gave the brand campaign-ready creative that a studio setup could not produce.

What comes next

Zhu expects AI video to become part of everyday content creation within 12 months. "We think the AI shift in content creation will favor products that make creation more repeatable from the start, with stronger formats, less trial and error, and a simpler workflow around the models themselves," he said. The company's roadmap depends on making it easier to turn an idea into an asset ready to post, test, or deploy in a campaign.

For professionals exploring generative video, platforms like Pollo AI signal a shift toward guided workflows that reduce the friction of model selection. Courses on text to video AI and AI video creation can help teams understand how these tools fit into existing content pipelines.

Why this matters for creatives, marketers, and product teams

Pollo AI's approach removes the technical decisions that slow down creative work. Instead of evaluating models or learning prompt engineering across multiple interfaces, teams start from templates or a single guided workflow. For marketing departments and DTC brands, the ability to turn a product photo into a finished ad in minutes changes the cost equation for testing creative on social channels. For writers and PR teams, the narrative development capability of GPT-6 Astra offers a way to prototype visual storylines alongside written copy. The takeaway is practical: when the tool handles model routing and generation parameters, the person using it can focus on whether the output matches the brief, not how it was made.
