Procurement Sciences Acquires HigherGov, Combining Data and AI for Government Contractors
Procurement Sciences announced the acquisition of HigherGov on May 20, merging two AI platforms that together serve more than 3,000 government contractors. The combined system has contributed to more than $100 billion in awarded contracts.
The deal pairs Awarded AI, Procurement Sciences' FedRAMP-authorized proposal and capture platform, with HigherGov's market intelligence system. HigherGov identifies federal, state, local, and grant opportunities. Awarded AI helps contractors win those opportunities through AI-assisted proposal drafting and strategy.
Nearly half of the industry's top 100 contractors use one or both platforms.
How the Platforms Work Together
HigherGov aggregates data across federal opportunities, state and local bids in all 50 states, grants, recompetes, contract vehicles, task orders, awarded contracts, competitor information, and labor pricing benchmarks. Awarded AI provides AI agents and workflows for opportunity qualification, capture strategy, proposal drafting, compliance review, and pricing.
HigherGov will continue operating as a standalone product with no immediate changes for current users. Integration between the two platforms begins in the weeks following the announcement, with AI agents pulling live market intelligence directly into capture and proposal workflows.
Security and Compliance
Awarded AI holds FedRAMP Moderate Authorization and SOC 2 Type 2 certification. The platform supports controlled unclassified information (CUI) and on-premise deployments, meeting the security requirements government contractors face.
Christian Ferreira, CEO of Procurement Sciences, said the combination addresses a gap in the market. "Data is the new oil, but in government contracting, the real advantage is turning opportunity, award, agency, competitor, teaming, and pricing intelligence into action," he said.
For government employees involved in procurement, AI for Government and Generative AI and LLM resources can provide context on how these systems function.
