Progress Software Opens Expanded Bengaluru Hub for AI and Product Development
Progress Software is relocating and expanding its Bengaluru office to a purpose-built facility at Embassy Tech Village, marking a significant investment in its India Global Capability Centre. The move reflects the company's strategy to concentrate AI innovation, product development, and customer-facing operations in one of India's primary technology hubs.
The expanded office will house engineering, product development, sales, customer success, marketing and operations teams. Progress operates offices across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and New Delhi, but the new facility consolidates its largest concentration of talent in the southern city.
India Now Represents 25% of Customer-Facing Workforce
Nearly a quarter of Progress' India workforce now supports global sales, customer support, customer success and marketing functions. These teams serve customers worldwide and report directly into the company's global operations.
Yogesh Gupta, CEO of Progress Software, said the expanded office reflects "confidence in India's deep technology talent" and positions the capability centre as "central" to advancing the company's AI-powered product portfolio.
Strategic Focus on Product and Engineering Teams
The facility is designed to accelerate collaboration between AI for Product Development teams and support faster innovation cycles. Progress has built significant product and engineering capacity in India alongside its customer-facing operations.
The company operates across AI, data platforms, digital experience and infrastructure management. The expanded office strengthens its ability to develop and deliver these products to global markets.
Community Investment Alongside Business Expansion
Progress is partnering with The Bodhi Tree Foundation to support local communities. The company has committed to donating electric wheelchairs and contributing to social initiatives in the region.
