Robo.ai Inc. (NASDAQ: AIIO) appointed three senior executives to its subsidiary Neurovia AI, forming a UAE-based leadership team to drive commercial deployment of the NeuroStream™ visual data processing platform. The appointments, effective immediately, follow the company's acquisition of Neurovia AI and recent technical validations at major industry events in the Gulf.

Leadership appointments

Mr. Khalifa Mohammed Alshehhi takes the role of Chief Executive Officer. His career spans more than three decades in engineering, network operations, and investment management, including senior positions at the UAE Ministry of Interior and Etisalat. He has worked extensively with regulators and government entities through the Gulf telecommunications industry's evolution from traditional networks to today's digital ecosystem.

Mr. Ziad Shaltuni joins as Chief Growth Officer, bringing over twenty years of commercial strategy and revenue management experience. He previously served as Chief Sales and Customer Care Officer at Mobily, where he led a team of more than 3,000 people and held P&L responsibility for a revenue portfolio exceeding US$5 billion. He will oversee Neurovia AI's growth strategy, commercialization roadmap, and channel ecosystem development.

Mr. Ahmed Alhashmi, a UAE National, becomes Chief Marketing Officer. He spent a decade at Mobily and Etisalat, overseeing cumulative marketing investments exceeding US$400 million, and played a leading role in the creation and launch of the Mobily brand in Saudi Arabia. His responsibilities include brand architecture, marketing communications, and regional market development.

Strategic context

These appointments come after Neurovia AI released its NeuroStream™ product, completed live technical validation at the 9th International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR 2026), and participated as an Official Partner in the 3rd Government Cybersecurity Summit and the 2026 UAE Data Center Infrastructure & Cloud Summit. Earlier appointments of a Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer had already laid the foundation for local organization development. The formation of a dedicated UAE leadership team underscores the growing importance of AI for Executives & Strategy in the region's government and enterprise sectors.

Benjamin Zhai, Chief Executive Officer of Robo.ai, said: "Neurovia AI is a cornerstone of Robo.ai's AI software strategy. We believe that a leadership team well versed in government and enterprise affairs, telecommunications infrastructure, commercial growth, and brand building across the Gulf region is key to taking the NeuroStream™ platform from technical validation to large-scale commercial delivery. With these appointments in place, Neurovia AI has the full organizational capability to undertake government and enterprise-grade projects across the region."

Neurovia AI's technology uses AI-native compression and edge computing to transition visual data from human viewing to machine understanding, targeting applications in autonomous driving, smart cities, and intelligent manufacturing.

Why this matters for executives and strategy

The appointments signal that Neurovia AI is shifting from technical proof points to scaled commercial contracts. A leadership team with direct experience in Gulf telecoms, government relations, and large-scale brand building gives the company the operational depth to pursue enterprise and public-sector deals. For executives monitoring AI infrastructure plays in the Middle East, the move indicates that the NeuroStream platform is now positioned for revenue-generating engagements rather than further R&D cycles.
