Sage Appoints Chief Product Officer and Chief Strategy Officer to Lead AI Expansion
Enterprise software company Sage has appointed Krish Vitaldevara as Chief Product Officer and Anand Swaminathan as Chief Strategy Officer. Vitaldevara joins the company on May 18, with Swaminathan starting June 15. Both executives will be based in San Jose, California.
The appointments signal Sage's push to embed AI across its financial workflow platform while expanding its footprint in the small and medium business market. The company provides finance, HR and payroll software to this segment.
Product Leadership and Strategy Roles
Vitaldevara will oversee Sage's global product and platform strategy, directing the innovation roadmap and ensuring delivery of what the company describes as trusted, intuitive and intelligent AI solutions at scale.
He brings more than 25 years at enterprise technology companies including Salesforce, Google, Microsoft and NetApp. Most recently, he served as General Manager and Executive Vice President at Salesforce, where he led product integration following the company's acquisition of Informatica. His background spans AI-first platforms and distributed systems, and he holds more than 30 patents in trust and safety, anomaly detection and large-scale systems.
Swaminathan will oversee corporate strategy, growth priorities and long-term value creation. He joins from McKinsey, where he was a Senior Partner advising global organizations on AI transformation, enterprise strategy and technology-enabled growth. Earlier experience at Accenture Digital involved scaling capabilities across data, cloud and digital product development.
Sage's AI and Financial Software Strategy
Sage's core proposition centers on AI-powered finance, HR and payroll solutions that connect small and medium business ecosystems. The company aims to digitalize processes across customers, suppliers, employees and financial institutions to reduce friction and provide real-time insights.
In this model, accounting software becomes the hub for broader financial and operational workflows. Steve Hare, CEO at Sage, said the new executives bring "deep experience building and scaling world-class products and businesses" and will drive innovation and growth.
