The investment was led by Roo Capital, with participation from 1st and Main Growth Partners, SaaS Ventures, and Riptide Ventures. This latest round brings Scamnetic’s total funding to $16 million.
The company offers a comprehensive scam detection platform designed to address a wide range of scam types. Its suite of services includes:
- Scan&Score – This tool automatically scans emails, text messages, social media direct messages, websites, messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram, QR codes, physical mail, and images. It assesses the risk level of incoming communications to help users avoid potential scams.
- IDeveryone – A verification service that confirms the identity of any counterparty through simple technology. It helps users verify who they are interacting with via video, audio, or text before sharing payments or sensitive information. This feature targets scams related to dating, Facebook marketing, cryptocurrency, land investments, and others.
- Scam Intervention – A 24/7 hotline staffed by experts who assist scam victims in recovering assets and regaining control. This support aims to restore peace of mind for those affected by fraud.
- Scam Education – Provides users with up-to-date scam protection tips and resources to stay informed about new threats.
Plans for the Funding
Scamnetic will allocate the new capital toward expanding marketing, sales, and customer support teams. The funds will also accelerate the product development roadmap to meet growing global demand.
