Securin Names Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala as CEO, Shifting Focus to AI-Driven Cybersecurity
Securin, a provider of AI-based Adversarial Exposure Validation (AEV) solutions, has appointed Dr. Srinivas (Sri) Mukkamala as its new Chief Executive Officer. This leadership change signals a clear shift in the company’s strategy, centering on AI-powered cybersecurity innovations such as Automated Penetration Testing and AI Red Teaming.
Dr. Mukkamala is a recognized expert in AI-driven cybersecurity. He founded RiskSense, a company acquired by Ivanti in 2021, where he developed risk-based security solutions adopted by 88 Fortune 100 companies. His experience includes serving as Chief Scientist on the Department of Defense’s CACTUS project, which focused on analyzing cyber threats and exploit feasibility. This work laid the foundation for Adversarial Exposure Validation (AEV), a method to empirically test attack scenarios.
Having led RiskSense as CEO and later Ivanti’s Chief Product Officer, Mukkamala brings a strong product innovation mindset to Securin. His appointment aligns with Securin’s goal to secure AI workloads, modern software, and cloud infrastructures through proactive, AI-driven approaches.
Strategic Priorities Under New Leadership
- Comprehensive AI Security Through AEV: Using Automated Penetration Testing and AI Red Teaming, Securin aims to validate AI models and workloads. This helps organizations adopt AI securely without adding new vulnerabilities.
- Unified Enterprise Protection: AI-driven insights combined with continuous penetration testing and red team simulations will streamline security across fragmented cloud and software environments.
- Smarter Threat Visibility and Prioritization: By modeling attacker behavior, enhancing exploit validation with AI, and leveraging internal threat intelligence, Securin delivers precise and actionable security operations.
Securin’s AEV platform stands out by proactively identifying threats missed by traditional tools. Unlike conventional approaches that rely on siloed tools or outdated prioritization models like CVSS, Securin’s platform assesses vulnerability combinations dynamically and validates exploitability through AI-driven red team exercises. Continuous updates from its internal research team help organizations anticipate and mitigate risks in complex environments.
“Cybersecurity must evolve as fast as attackers do, and AI is key to staying ahead,” said Dr. Mukkamala. “Securin’s expertise in Adversarial Exposure Validation, powered by Automated Penetration Testing and AI Red Teaming, positions us to deliver unmatched threat visibility and resilience. I look forward to guiding the team as we build solutions that unify enterprise security, deliver attacker-focused threat perspectives, and use AI to make threat detection, validation, and response more precise and scalable.”
Rohini Kasturi, CEO of HG Insights and Securin board member, added, “Sri’s product-first mindset and deep AI security expertise make him the right leader for Securin at this critical time.”
