Seoul National University opens AI leadership program for executives
Seoul National University's Institute of Economic Research is accepting applications through April 17 for its fifth cohort of the Big Data AI CEO Program, a six-month course designed for corporate executives and CEOs.
The program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting May 7 and ending October 31. Classes take place at the Wooseok Economic Hall on the university's Gwanak campus.
What the program covers
Faculty include honorary professor Ryu Geun-kwan, former commissioner of Statistics Korea, alongside professors in industrial engineering, linguistics, and computer science. The curriculum addresses three core areas:
- Building data-driven decision-making systems
- Applying generative AI to business models
- Analyzing AI adoption cases across industries
A business research seminar lets participants develop AI strategies specific to their own companies and receive faculty feedback. Past cohorts have included executives from finance, manufacturing, IT, law, and healthcare sectors, as well as startup founders.
Funding and eligibility
The program operates under South Korea's Ministry of Employment and Labor K-Digital Training initiative. Employers and executives can access government subsidies for tuition through the National Tomorrow Learning Card or a KDT Pass.
Final candidates will be selected on April 28 after screening. More details are available on the SNU KDT program website.
