Solera adds AI sales coaching to DealerSocket CRM

Solera has released AI Sales Coach, a capability inside its DealerSocket CRM that assigns every sales representative a performance tier and generates individualized coaching notes for managers. The tool, announced September 8, 2026, turns coaching from a sporadic event into a daily discipline, directly addressing the time constraint that keeps managers from proving, personalizing, and delivering structured feedback consistently.

How the tool works inside the CRM

AI Sales Coach continuously analyzes sales performance across teams and rooftops. It surfaces exactly which rep needs attention and suggests where a manager should start the conversation. The system reads performance signals hidden in the CRM, points to the highest-impact coaching opportunity, and delivers actionable notes straight from the dashboard. Managers act on the intelligence without leaving the workflow they already use.

Solera positions the capability as part of a broader platform strategy. The AI Sales Coach runs on the Solera AI Engine, a cloud-native intelligence layer that connects dealership data across CRM, service, inventory, titling, and vehicle telematics. It is the third major AI release inside CRM this year, following conversational AI lead response and AI-powered lead scoring.

What the executive team said

"Great sales managers have always known, in their gut, who needs coaching," said Victoria Repice, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Solera. "What they have never had is the time to prove it, personalize it, and deliver it every single day. AI Sales Coach reads the performance story hidden in the CRM, points the manager to the rep who needs them most, and suggests exactly where to start."

Alberto Cairo, Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director at Solera, framed the release against the company's innovation cadence. "Every strategic release we bring to market starts with one question: how do we help dealerships win? AI Sales Coach is another proof point of that commitment," Cairo said. He added that every new AI capability strengthens the next because they share the same customer record and data foundation, creating a platform that compounds intelligence over time.

The case for daily coaching discipline

The logic is straightforward. Speed and prioritization win the lead. Coaching wins the month. AI Sales Coach embeds structured, data-backed coaching directly into the CRM, which Solera argues makes manager follow-up more consistent and rep development stronger. Dealerships get better visibility into team performance, faster identification of coaching opportunities, and improved lead handling discipline.

For sales teams, the shift matters. Reps receive targeted guidance tied to their actual performance data rather than generic advice. Managers focus time where it has the greatest impact. Customers experience faster follow-up and stronger handoffs because the entire sales floor operates with a higher performance floor. Solera's bet is that AI for Sales tools like this succeed when they extend leadership reach rather than replace managerial judgment.

Why this matters for sales professionals

For sales managers, the most immediate takeaway is the removal of the diagnostic bottleneck. Instead of digging through CRM records to figure out who needs help and on what, a manager opens the dashboard and sees the rep, the tier, and the suggested coaching note. The system handles the analysis so the manager can spend time on the conversation. For individual reps, the benefit is receiving specific, timely feedback tied to their own deals and behaviors - the kind of coaching that top performers at the best-run stores already get, now delivered daily across the entire team. Sales leaders evaluating AI Learning Path for Sales Managers resources will recognize the pattern: technology that reduces the administrative cost of good management makes consistent coaching scalable for the first time.
