Space and Time Launches No-Code App Builder for Blockchain Development
Space and Time has released Dreamspace, an AI-powered app builder that lets developers create and deploy blockchain applications without writing code. The platform launched publicly on April 23 after a beta phase that produced over 34,000 apps.
Users describe their desired application in text. Dreamspace's AI generates the underlying smart contract logic and deploys it to Base, Coinbase's Layer 2 network. All contract code remains transparent and verifiable on-chain.
The platform handles the technical complexity that typically blocks entry into blockchain development. Transactions cost under $0.01 and settle in under one second. Apps run on Ethereum Virtual Machine infrastructure, making them compatible with existing blockchain tools.
Built With Microsoft, Reaching Students
Space and Time developed Dreamspace in collaboration with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and M12, Microsoft's venture fund. M12 led a $20 million investment in Space and Time in 2022.
The platform is already in use in Indonesian schools, where several institutions have integrated it into their curricula through AI labs. The company aims to reach over 140,000 students through these programs.
Nate Holiday, co-founder of Space and Time, said the tool puts the company's data infrastructure "into the hands of the broader creator economy." Michael Stewart, managing partner at M12, noted that Dreamspace makes "complex blockchain infrastructure become an invisible, effortless tool for the global workforce."
What This Means for Developers
Dreamspace removes barriers to onchain development for people without blockchain expertise. The platform handles smart contract generation, which traditionally requires specialized knowledge of languages like Solidity.
For teams building production applications, the platform still exposes contract code for review and modification. Developers retain full control over deployed logic while starting from an AI-generated foundation rather than a blank slate.
The sub-cent fees and fast settlement times make it practical to deploy multiple iterations, useful for testing application behavior before moving to mainnet.
