Tanner Health Deploys AI Career Guidance Tool to Address Nurse Turnover
Tanner Health, a nonprofit regional healthcare provider in west Georgia and east Alabama, is deploying Worki's Career Amplifier to automate career counseling and help retain frontline workers as nurse turnover continues near 20% annually.
Career Amplifier uses AI to conduct intake interviews, prepare session materials and draft follow-up plans that human counselors review before delivery. The tool personalizes guidance at scale across the health system without replacing existing HR systems.
The partnership represents the first operational deployment of Worki's broader AI Workforce Unifying Infrastructure - a data layer that connects fragmented HR, scheduling, credentialing and learning platforms to make workforce information visible and actionable.
The Fragmentation Problem
Healthcare organizations typically store talent data across separate systems. That fragmentation creates what Worki calls the "fragmentation tax": hidden costs that limit visibility, increase administrative work and make personalized support difficult to deliver at scale.
Career Amplifier closes that gap by creating a shared intelligence layer that surfaces internal career pathways and connects employees to learning resources and adjacent roles.
Supporting Workers Through AI Change
The platform continuously updates skill profiles and identifies emerging competencies as AI changes how clinical work gets done. The design principle - called the Conductor model - positions AI agents as tools that work around and beneath healthcare professionals rather than replacing them.
Jill Anelli, senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Tanner Health, said the tool lets the organization "turn everything we know about our workforce into personalized, real-time guidance and supports our team as the work itself evolves."
Craig Allan Ahrens, CEO and co-founder of Worki, said the deployment shows how AI for Human Resources can address workforce challenges without replacing existing infrastructure. "Healthcare organizations are sitting on untapped workforce potential - the real challenge is orchestrating it," he said.
Funding and Broader Platform
Healthliant Ventures, Tanner Health's venture arm, co-led Worki's pre-seed funding round, reflecting growing demand for AI infrastructure that solves workforce problems without disrupting current systems.
Career Amplifier is one component of Worki's platform. The broader system includes orchestration, workforce intelligence and AI agent capabilities designed to reduce data fragmentation and improve HR operational efficiency across healthcare organizations.
